Everyone is chasing that dream of making money online and whenever they decide to start, they sometimes get discouraged because they can't make a sale. So I'm typing this up to show people how to make a quick sale
After you get your website set up and optimized for the search engines, you'll need to add the right forms and call to actions. Make sure that you funnel people towards your "Buy Now" buttons, or whatever you're using to send people to your payment page or paypal Funneling your traffic to the order pages will easily increase your conversions. You can do this by adding animated "Buy Now" buttons that flash or slightly move on a static page. This will draw the attention to the buttons and increase the click throughs to your payment pages. A lot of wordpress themes and shopify themes will set something like this up so that
So after you start funneling your traffic to your payment pages, you'll need to thing about how you can get some instant traffic. To do this, you can set up some banner ads or PPC ads. These are the quickest way to generate sales on your website because the websites or search engines where your ads will be shown are already ranking for the keywords you're trying to go for or you're going to pull in traffic from the people searching for a service, item, or article online. You'll have to buy banner space on niche related websites in order for your ads to have the best ROI. If you have a clothing website and put an ad on a gaming website, you won't be happy because you'll get 0 sales. When you're setting up a PPC campaign I would urge you to take it slow and only target around 20 keywords to start off. Choose your top 20 keywords and bid high enough to be on the second page. Now you're thinking "But whey would I bid to be on the second page and not the first???" that's because you can still make a good amount of money being on the second page. Your ROI will be much higher because you're paying less per click than if you were on the first page. I actually know a few people who always target the second page for highly competitive keywords and they make a killing
Get active on forums in order to pull in some sales. You'll have to build a reputation on niche related forums and the sales will slowly come in. You can post sales threads for free or a small yearly fee, which is usually worth it if the forum has a good amount of traffic. You can also set up your forum signature to have your links in there in order for people to click through and go to your website
Guest blogging on popular websites can also bring in a flood of traffic if you've done it right. A lot of guest posts will get moderated, so you'll have to write up some high quality content to add value to the blog in order for your post to get accepted. If the blog is ranked for a lot of good keywords then you can usually get a boost in traffic, it won't be much, and you could get a sale here and there because of it
Making money online takes time, but you can do it as long as you grind

I've still got to find some time to start with marketing on forums, I've just found that I haven't got the time to get there yet.
I never knew about actually targeting the second page for Adwords, it never occurred to me to do that. Every time I have done an Adwords Campaign I have always made sure my ads show on the first page.
That really is a lovely piece of advice that I will make sure to make use of in the future and it makes perfect sense. I am sure the cost will be much more affordable for appearing on the second page! Thanks for these great tips Razzy, I totally agree with you that making your first sale doesn't have to be too hard. However it does take some work and it won't just fall into your lap. I've still got to find some time to start with marketing on forums, I've just found that I haven't got the time to get there yet.
