Online freelancing: is that all you do, or do you have a job?

Do you freelance online and make enough to support your life/family or do you also have a job that you go to every day? I freelance as a secondary source of income. I've actually made more freelancing that my actual job but am hesitant to quit because of job security (freelancing could die at any time, for multiple reasons).

"Personally I think that more employers should offer work from home opportunities as this would greatly benefit families."

I agree, but the only downside is that most people who are looking for work from home opportunities haven't put any time in with the companies they're applying to. I know a few people who have been with companies for years and have landed some nice stay at home jobs because they have gained trust by the employer.

So I would advise to work for a company that has work from opportunities, but work out of their office and after about 6 months apply for the stay at home job. Just make sure you DO NOT reduce your productivity! Reducing your productivity after you get the cozy stay at home position will only look bad and you could possibly be laid off and the placement will be given to someone else.

As for freelancers here on seocheckout. Like said above, there are plenty of people here making full time income by providing a great service. I know I will always pay a little extra for a good service matched up with exceptional customer support because I know I'll be in good hands and I can always contact someone.

Freelancing isn't for everyone, and it's definitely not for the people who read a "How to get rich quick online" ebook. It takes time to build a great product, build a client list, and then profit. The great thing about Seocheckout is that it helps you with the second step of building a client list since there are thousands of people here looking for a service you are selling.

Thanks,

Razzy

Yeah, I know one freelancer that had a great product but was terrible at communicating and somewhat lazy. He could get the sells and even deliver the work but he made a lot of his buyers mad by being late and not updating them. He eventually quit.

I agree with you fully. Freelancing requires time, effort and commitments, as well as the need to be responsible. I feel that it is helpful to set a timeframe where I know what I will be doing in the next couple of days as deadlines matter a lot in this type of job. I also agree that Seocheckout offers a great opportunity to all sorts of freelancers who specialize in different kinds of services. I will soon have spent 2 years offering services here, and I must say that I am really happy with the clients who contacted and ordered services from me here. The vast majority of them were really nice and I love the fact that they are satisfied with the service delivered. Their comments and reviews helped create a good reputation for me, while also enabling me to feel more fulfilled than I ever was on other sites.

Freelancing will never die Online freelancing: is that all you do, or do you have a job? But we having more and more competition day by day, it's true and it's not easy job. However 80% of my paid jobs is freelancing online and i am managing it somehow. Sometime it's tight, but it's still OK. Never give up and always improve your quality work as you getting more experienced, so it will keep you going ;)

Freelancing will never die, but it could die for me personally. For example, everyone could stop ordering my services and all of my contracts could expire.

What is the other 20% of your paid jobs from?

I agree that freelancing will never die Online freelancing: is that all you do, or do you have a job?

Someone will always have a job to do and not want to do it. That's where we step in and do it for them for a commission Online freelancing: is that all you do, or do you have a job? I've had plenty of freelance jobs doing web design, SEO, marketing, PPC management, email marketing, social media marketing and so much more.

The more complicated the job is, the more people are willing to outsource it. For example, I have a load of online marketing clients (mainly SEO clients) because they know it will take them years of studying and failures in order to get where I'm at in my career. They would rather outsource the work to me and not risk hurting their website themselves.

If I wasn't allowed to freelance, I would probably be homeless Online freelancing: is that all you do, or do you have a job?

One more thing. Freelancing allows me to work from anywhere in the world if I'd like. I've never left the US to work, but I could if I wanted Online freelancing: is that all you do, or do you have a job?

I've definitely brought my laptop to a friends lake house and worked while everyone was asleep. I was on vacation and had some down time so I busted out my laptop and got some work done. I wasn't swamped with work on the next business day and it was great Online freelancing: is that all you do, or do you have a job?

In my opinion freelancing is a godsend. You get to do what you like, whenever you like, from the comfort of your home. I have been freelancing for the past 8 years or so and I really enjoy it. I do not think that freelancing could die as you said, because there are countless opportunities available and with the internet at our hands we can make the most of it. Over the years I tried out new areas of freelancing and I got more experienced at it. I must say though that Seocheckout is by far the best freelancing platform I ever tried out and I stick to it for several hours a day nowadays.
Personally I think that more employers should offer work from home opportunities as this would greatly benefit families. Mums can better balance their work and family commitments for example. Besides there will be no waste of time traveling to and fro to the place of work, not to mention the costs involved for traveling and the traffic problems.

Sorry, I didn't mean freelancing as a whole could die. I meant for me personally for many different reasons. So you freelance 100% of the time/for your income? Does it provide you enough to support your life?

No it does not provide enough funds for daily expenses, but I am happy with what I get as at the end of the day I enjoy writing.

I have a full time job and I only freelance to get extra income at the moment. I am also a webmaster as well and my plan is to build more websites and customers so I can make a living out of websites and freelancing. It is pretty tough when you have to manage so many things at once but I think I am doing fine. The reason why I am doing so many things at this moment is to have a backup; if freelancing doesn’t go well for me, then I have other sources of income. Freelancing is too unstable to use as a main source of income when you start off. However, I enjoy working at home and I hope, I can use freelancing as a main source of income soon with my websites backing me up on bad days.

Seocheckout is definitely a great place to start freelancing. I am personally trying to build more skills and knowledge so I can offer more services. Freelancing won’t die, especially with so many webmasters who need these services. In fact, I think more people will need freelancers as the internet is becoming more important. Therefore, I think I can make a living with freelancing in the near future.

I work full time online. It's my only income and I'm more than satisfied with my choice. I've worked as a salesman, I've worked in grocery stores as a telemarketer and I've worked as a graffiti rehabilitator. Even though some of these jobs have been fantastic and fun, nothing beats freelancing. For me it's the best thing that ever happened, business-related, so far.

I can't say that I miss working for a boss or doing the things I did previously, but I can sometimes miss the work colleagues. However, nowadays, when I'm being my own boss, setting up my own rules and schedules.. nothing beats that. I love being a freelancer and all that comes with it. All the responsibility and all communication with potential clients, recurring customers, support and so on. I just love it to the bone. As a Freelancer I can finally be "who I'm supposed to be", and also "where I'm supposed to be in life". I also have Seocheckout to thank for much of it. With all this being said, I did NOT quit my 9-5 job before I was able to earn a decent income online. That would require too much of a risk.

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

Right now, my freelancing is part time because of my full time job in the office. But unlike you, I guess I will be missing my colleagues when I retire and go full time in freelancing work because I am used to being with people. But on the other hand, being a full time freelancer will free me from the hassle of traveling to the office. With the heavy traffic on the roads, that gives me too much stress. And in terms of earnings, I know that freelancing cannot replace my office job although there are pros and cons on the issue.

I'm not a freelancer. I am a blogger and affiliate marketer. I had an online store until February this year. I was making nice money with the online store but I wanted more free time to be with my kids.

So I closed my stores and I just blog now on 3 websites. The income is going up, soon it will be more than enough full time income.

My freelancing is my way of improving my writing skills. That means I am like shooting 2 birds with one bullet. Isn't it great to learn and earn at the same time. By the way, I have a full time job in a big bank and I don't want to brag but I have to say that I am earning good money. However, my freelancing is in preparation when I retire from my job 5 years from now. And although my writing endeavor is just a sideline, I am serious with it.

I do online and offline freelancing. I do almost same kind of freelancing jobs whether it is online or offline. Writing is my primary work and I write online as well as offline. I also have brick and mortar business. I have people to work for me therefore, I don't have to spend my full time to run and manage my brick and mortar business. I also have online business, which works automatically, don't have to do much except market the business.

I'm a teacher. Freelancing is my side hustle although I always hope that one day I'll be doing full time freelancing. This will definitely give me freedom as I'll be my own boss. My teaching job is good but I don't like the commuting part.Waking up and commuting to and from the work station five days a week is strenuous.
