High amount of late orders this week

High amount of late orders this week

In the past week I've had some late orders which is not uncommon. Usually I wait until the turnaround time is finished then I give it a couple extra days. 
Typically I will try to reach out to the seller another time then if they don't respond I just simply cancel the order. That almost always gets them to respond. 
I've noticed a trend this week with late orders were the seller will say it's because they had a child this week. It just seems odd to me that that many people that are sellers have had children this week. I mean I understand babies are born everyday all over the world but it almost seems like a common excuse.
Has anyone else experienced this?
