I want to start by saying I have always respected Seocheckout and the platform they provide but this 10% Non-Refundable Selling Fee Policy is a SERIOUS ISSUE.
This message is from support via email, the policy states: "When you list and sell services on seocheckout, we charge a 10% selling fee. Service fee charges are non-refundable even if you do not complete the order."
For sellers, you're signing up to lose money on Seocheckout rather than earning an income with this new policy.
THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE From the beginning of my selling journey, I have had a lot of scam buyers. These are buyers who would purchase your product/service and then deliberately request a refund AFTER getting your products/service. In the past, Seocheckout would handle rejected orders disputes but when the dispute comes from the source (ie PayPal, Credit Card - Bank dispute), there was nothing Seocheckout could have done because they never offered charge back Fraud like Fiverr does and I would just have to settle with a cancelled order even though I delivered the product/service. I've had many buyers do that to me in the past and it was so stressful dealing with them. It was also depressing knowing that they got my hard work for free, this motivated me to license all of my software so I can easily revoke license for buyers who request a refund. Unfortunately, I can't license a service so that's still an issue for.
Now with this new 10% Selling Fee Policy, money gets deducted from my card whether I earn money from the order or not. I made a discussion about this issue before it even happened to me because I foresaw this, yet, the moderators here insist it was a good idea as we get 100% of the money which all sellers know is NOT TRUE. Even though payments come directly to my PayPal, I have to pay 10% transaction fee to PayPal plus this 10% Seocheckout fee so it's pretty much the same 20% fee for me. I have no problem paying Seocheckout 10% because I don't expect to use the platform for free. I have a problem with the part where they charge you for cancelled/refunded orders. That means I have to pay even when I didn't earn anything. That's ridiculous!!
Today I refunded a buyer an order of $275 via PayPal. I lost nothing on PayPal but I still have to pay $27.50 to Seocheckout due to this ridiculous policy. Why do I have to pay a selling fee when the item was not even SOLD, it was refunded, there was NO INCOME for me, so why? In addition to this, the order still remained marked as "completed" on Seocheckout platform even though it was cancelled and the buyer review is also still available.
What if I get 5 cancelled orders in one week? (the chances are high with these fraud buyers) I could lose minimum $135-150 USD for just 5 refunded orders since my average selling price is $220-$750 including custom orders. So now I have to drop my selling prices so I can atleast afford to pay the selling fee? That makes no sense. What if I get an order for $750 and it gets cancelled, I have to pay $75? What kind of madness is that??
I even saw a moderator commented on this issue from another seller complaint and said that we must agree because Seocheckout has to pay affiliate for driving traffic to get us sales. What??? First of all, I promote my OWN gigs here, I pay for category features and buy hundreds of paid boosts. I have promoted my gigs on twitter, Facebook, Google ads and also included Seocheckout on my website since they use to offer buyers a wider payment options. Secondly, how does it make sense to Pay affiliate money for a purchase that was REFUNDED? So you're telling me, affiliates will be earning money from the SELLER, not the buyer who made the purchase? That sounds like fraud to me, affiliates getting money even when sellers don't.
MY RECOMMENDATIONS So Seocheckout team really need to reassess this because I'm sure I am not the only one here having this issue and eventually sellers WILL come across this issue. Here are recommendations to fix this flawed policy:
1) Simply don't charge the fee for Incomplete, Cancelled and Refunded orders.
2) Charge a standard monthly subscription fee for sellers to use the platform.
3) Charge a standard fee for ALL service orders and set a minimum price for gigs so that sellers profit after the standard fee applies. For example, charging a fee of $15 for all service orders and making the minimum price $25 for services, or even $15 and minimum price $30, etc. Since Seocheckout is not handling the payment transaction itself, they're only handling the platform to exchange products & services which for every seller is the same order page, this seem like a more appropriate way of charging. This should also not apply to Incomplete, Cancelled or Refunded orders.
Of course, when I put forward these recommendations to support, they said that they won't change their policy based on ONE seller's request. I'm sure I'm not the only seller here requesting to adjust this policy. This policy is only fitting for Affiliate Marketers for Seocheckout NOT for Sellers and sellers are the backbone of this platform. Without sellers, what will the affiliates have to market? Eventually, they will be forced to adjust it because as time goes by more and more sellers will have this issue and complain about it. It's a catastrophe waiting to happen. I can only wait, time will tell. If I get one more cancelled order, I am going to suspend all of my services here because I can't afford to lose in these difficult times of the pandemic. I will just continue to use Fiverr and my own website as it will not make sense to sell here. I still haven't gotten my withdrawal for money since July 7th for money earned before the changes were made.
There's so much potential for Seocheckout to be a better marketplace than others, I think they should rebrand and come back stronger by allowing more services rather than just SEO-based services and possibly kick out Fiverr, Upwork and others. It's likely but the owners need to seek that opportunity. Anyways, let me know your input if you're a seller and also if you have more recommendations to fix this new 10% Seller Fee Policy.

Word of mouth is spreading very fast and i guess Seocheckout send out a strong call for scam buyers to buy, get service and get refund, while sellers have to saffer with income loss. I don't see why, but seocheckout with this mentioned policy is going to force all sellers to stop selling here while number of scam buyer will growth day by day!!!
Also you made good point here that affiliates will be earning from sellers (instead from buyers) even when sellers lossing money. NO WAY that Seocheckout can be sustainable platform this way.
If Seocheckout still decide to keep eyes shut and continue like this, i personally will not be part of their scam scheme and fraud. I had same problem and started discussion Seoclerks, this is NOT fair where i mention "Commission on zero income should be zero.
