Blog comments, as well as forum signature both, can be considered a good off page strategy for backlinking and getting traffic. Which one is more profitable depends on the PR and Authority. If you are using a forum signature on a forum that has few members, little activities, and poor content, your forum signature will be considered bad backlink and you will also not get good traffic. Likewise, if you place comments on the blogs that is ranked lower than yours, than you will not benefit from blog commenting.Blog comments, as well as forum signature both, can be considered a good off page strategy for backlinking and getting traffic. When I am in a forum and reading a comment, I tend to ignore the signature especially those that contain a website link. That also the same when I am reading a blog, I concentrate on the comment and I don’t mind the signature. Maybe the signature has no appeal to me or I am just prejudiced. But with a comment that says there are more of the same information in the link then I would probably click on the link if I am very interested in the contents of the comment. Simply put, the comment is more powerful than the signature. When I am in a forum and reading a comment, I tend to ignore the signature especially those that contain a website link.
