We're all looking for that magical formula called 'attraction at the first sight' Although digital marketers sum it all up in few small rules when it comes to targeting your audience, my best favorite 4 rules are:
Be simple
Be informative
Be convincing
Be safe
Because most of people do not have much time, and do not give away their trust easily.My personal favorite example is a successful moving company named 'Two Men and a Truck' in addition to their simple and informative name, their logo is a also a simple sketch of two men in uniform and a truck ! Even a small kid will get the idea in a second.

Moreover, the more simple and spontaneous your visual message is , the more it's attractive to the average consumer. This is a fact.
Sure there are other rules but this what i think is most important.
