My Journey from knowing nothing about Digital Marketing to Establishing a Digital Marketing Company

Before writing a single word about my journey, I firstly want to thank Seocheckout platform for all the success I have achieved until today. I truly would be stuck in some 9-5 Job, but Seocheckout changed everything for me.

Here's a glimpse of what I've achieved until today:

It’s a 4000 sq.ft. fully furnished office. cost me around $90,000 to set up everything. We have 15 in-office working staffs and more than 15 work-from-home employees.

100% of this investment is my own earning starting from 2013 when I first joined seocheckout.

Yes, it all started when I joined seocheckout. I used to provide content writing services. At that time, I asked myself, “why on earth somebody would even pay me for writing content”, lol. Still I kept on writing, because I was getting paid and I wasn’t even an excellent writer

I did content writing for at least 6 months. Then the work started getting boring and monotonous. The worst part was that my earning limited and no matter how much hard I tried to deliver as many articles as possible to increase my revenue, I couldn’t. Common, I had only 24 hours a day and only 1 hand to write with.

Then I starting exploring Seocheckout platform for more work. Something that could generate additional revenue. I found a lot of sellers providing social media services (Facebook page Likes, IG followers, etc.). I got fascinated by the number of orders they had in queue. I used to do the math:

$15 service and 150 orders is queue = $1150 (worth of services), and delivery time would be 3-5 days. I mean common, I am from a middle class family, and seeing someone earn $1150 in 3-5 days was magical. And that was happening in front of my eyes…!! I had to know the secret.

I kept on doing my research, messaged a lot of sellers in Seocheckout and asked them how do they provided such services. I found nothing!! Then a strange idea hit my mind. I questioned myself,

“how about I create similar services with double the price, and buy from them when I get an order”. I didn’t even knew if this was legal at seocheckout. 

You won’t believe what I did to clarify myself if that was legal. I started a discussion in Seocheckout community asking if buying and selling was legal in seocheckout.. lol.. a very stupid question right?? lol.

BUT, i got my answer. I knew exactly what I should do. I started creating a lot of smm services, with double the price. to my luck, I even started getting a lot of orders. Yea it took a few months for my “order in queue” to be 100+, but that was an achievement. I expanded my knowledge about smm and started providing similar services on other freelancing platforms too. 

During this process, I made a lot of friends who provided similar services. One of them supported me and helped me provide those services in even cheaper prices. My revenue tanked…!!!

BUT very soon, all social media channels started to update their algorithm, and adding likes, following, shares started to get very difficult. I somewhere knew that providing such services won’t take me far.

While all this was happening, I never stoped my research about earning online. I came across SEO!!! Yes something that caught my attention and something that I was sure will last long unlike SMM services (FB Page Likes, IG followers and more).

I started reading hundreds of articles, watched hundreds of videos, attended webinars, and so much more. I learned website designing too. 

Once I became confident enough with my knowledge of SEO, I started providing SEO services too. I hired freelancers to have my work done. Lots of my clients became really happy with the results they achieved, while a few were dissatisfied as I couldn’t deliver said results due to high competition. But those were my learning experiences,…!!!

In  August 2017, I competed my masters degree. instead of joining a full time job, I decided to start my own digital marketing company here in Nepal. By the help of my friends and with an investment of $15,000, I officially started my company in a very small space of 700 sq. ft. 

The company was first meant to provide digital marketing services, but within 1 month of operation, we thought to start providing SEO Training. And that’s exactly what we did. 

Today, we shifted to an entirely huge space of 4000 sq. ft. intended to provide Digital Marketing Courses and certifications. We are Elance Academy!!! Till now, we have trained more than 500 students.
