The world of internet is one that has really helped a lot of people in so many ways. There are people that became the best in the academic field as a result of technology helping them to become popular. There are others that has gotten better in other areas of life as well due to the technological advances. How has technology helped you?

I grew up in a rural area of America with a few other children in the area. Technology helped me greatly. By working on computers, I was able to start a career while still very young and entertain myself playing a variety of games.

Technology has good and bad effects to the people depending on how it is being used. In my work, it helps me with doing research and learning new things. It opens new opportunities for another source of income. It also helps in faster communication and interacting with other people in any part of the world. Business owners are able to reach more potential customers because of the internet. On the other hand, technology consumes time and money with things that are not really important such as spending more time on social media browsing what's the latest updates and playing online games.

Yup I agree with this. I am also using technology to play some games and it also somehow waste my time and money. I usually use it for some relaxation and to relieve my stress but there are times that I spend some money to unlock some features and I think it was the disadvantage to me of the technology.

Technology has helped me in many ways. It has made my tasks easier to do, access to information is just clicks away now, more music are being heard because of streaming/digital downloads and I love discovering new music and smartphones/tablets are instant entertainment whenever I'm bored. But how it really helped me develop in life is that I can't play instruments but I made my music through my computer and because of the internet, I could share it to to everyone easily compared to traditional marketing.

Technology has helped me both financially and socially. I have been able to communicate with my family and friends easily through long distances because of it. Technology has helped in so many ways! I haven't been to my bank in almost 6 months because every transaction I have to do has been some by online banking. If I have any issues, I can sort it out over the phone or by using my bank's messenger app. I remember we used to queue in banking halls for most of the day before technology made it so easy.

i have always loved to read but getting the particular book l want from a particular author is very difficult in my country. I always avoided trilogies or books with sequels because I'd almost never get to finish them. Today, I can get any book I want from any author I want via ebooks or by purchasing it online. There are so many other ways technology has made my life easier and better

Technology helped me bridge the gap between my friends who live far away now. Most of my friends have moved overseas, there's only a few of us left here on our island but still we live far from each other. Technology gave us the means to be closer to each other. Same thing here. I used to have a lot of friends and relatives back when I was young (before i moved to another country). It's basically like a part of me is left still somewhere there, and as if I'm torn. At least social media and modern technology allows me to prevent that gap from getting wider. My first ever tool was Google Talk, then Skype, now Viber and WhatsApp.

I mainly use Line since calls and video calls are always nice on that app. There's even an option to send 30 minutes long voice messages. Just today I had a nice chat with my best friend from High School. We had a great time talking and we missed each other a lot. It's moments like this that I'm grateful for technology.

I marvel that I once wrote an entire dissertation on "Hopi Mythology in the light of the theories of Levi Strauss, an explanation of the raw and the cooked," by hand, using only books from libraries and institutes. Then I paid to have it bound. Today, I would research online from the comfort of my own home and self-publish it. There are programmes where I can make a bibliography instantly and which help me research. What I can produce now would be superior in every way to what earned me a good degree back then. By the time I did an M.A I had a mac and could do limited research and it was all a lot easier. I could write and submit without leaving the house. This made it possible to do so with two young children to look after. No way could I have lived in libraries as I did as an undergraduate. Any course since the invention of the Internet has been easier to do. I have done some which earned me money. I earn money using the Internet most days - even if a few £'s and on occassion, even get to earn money showing others how to use the Internet. As a writer, I can self-publish easily, and can check formatting online of any book. Then I sell. I am not sure what I would do without the Internet or how I could earn without it. However, once upon a time, there was no Internet and no computer, tablet or laptop. Would I go back to those days. NO.

Technology has helped learn new skills which I otherwise wouldn't have learned because it would have been too expensive.

Now thanks to the net, not only can I do what I always dreamed of but it made everything even easier because instead sending unsolicited manuscripts to publishers and collect numerous rejection slips, I can now publish any book I write any time I want to.

Well, technology helped me to earn my first money as a freelancer, so there is that. Without the internet or computer, I would not be able to earn money I had earned. Also, the technology helped me when it comes to writing some content. I love to write and I bought one program for writing a screenplay. It is so great. I write everything in that program. It has brought about a complete transformation in various aspects of our life and our life has become much more easier due to the various technological advances.I had to physically go to the banks everytime i had to do any kinfd of financial transaction,in the past , but nowdays we can do almost all our bank work online from our home. I was already working when the digital technology came to fore. In fact, I was able to get a free education for computer programming even if my work was not in the computer department. As a programmer, my work has always been involved in technology or computer. Now that I would like to stay at home to take care of my kids, I am glad that I can still choose to work as a freelance programmer and work from home. I just need a computer and Internet connection to work. Some jobs might not provide the flexibility on this.
