Building private blog networks is a big thing in SEO, but most people don't do it because of how much time it takes to do it the right way, and that's why you can profit more! People are naturally lazy because it's the easiest thing to do in the world, so if you were to just commit to setting up just 3 to 5 niche specific websites to bring in even more customers, you'll be more profitable than you were before you started off.
Think about it, you set up social media profiles to bring in customers, but those profiles do nothing in the SERPs for your keywords because everything you post is nofollow. Now, what if you were to build your own tier 1 network and boost them up in a way that they were all functional websites, do you think you could make more money from your main website?
Break down your niche into as many sections as possible
When you're doing this, you'll need to think about all the departments or services that can be offered, then target them individually with your tier 1 network.
I'll use SEO as an example, because it's diverse, and you can break it apart into hundreds of different tier 1 blogs if needed. You can set up tier 1 blogs that are dedicated solely to backlinks, on page optimization, image optimization, guest blogging, press releases, etc. If it has something to do with SEO, it can become your tier 1 blog network, and you can funnel people to your main money website after everything is done
Set up a blog for each section that gets the most attention
If you do decide to do this, you need to know what gets the most attention and target those areas first. For SEO I would target backlinks, on page optimization, and maybe something a little different like Black Hat SEO techniques to broaden my targeted audience and get a lot of keywords out there that might not overlap.
If you can figure out what people are more attracted to within your niche, you can set up tier 1 blogs targeting those areas and bring them to your main website over time
Treat these blogs well and you will receive traffic
You can't see these as websites or blogs that are solely developed to bring traffic to your main website. You need to treat them like your main websites, post quality content to them on a regular basis, have dedicated support, etc. if you want to keep people coming back to them and gain reputation over time.
Be sure to have your links and banners on these blogs
When you're about to be finished setting up these websites or blogs, you need to remember to add the banner to your main money website if you actually want to funnel traffic to it. You can also add these banners and links to your emails, which will get some clicks, but you'll likely get the most traffic from the banners you're posting on the sites themselves.
In conclusion
After about 6 months you should easily have 100 unique articles on each of these tier 1 blogs and websites, which should be bringing in some traffic, and that traffic will be funneled to your main money site through banner ads and links within your emails. If you can do this, you will have an amazing network over time, and you could even sell the network to a company that is looking for something like this or you can sell ad space on the network for a premium and get recurring income from your advertisers
