Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
Whenever you're running a Facebook ad, your thoughts are "I need it to be profitable!" and you're not wrong! You need to make money if you're spending it, and that's the main reason you actually put up a Facebook ad campaign, so why not do it right the first time instead of hoping you get lucky?
People are always researching how to make more money online, but the answers are usually simple and don't really need a ton of research, and this is a prime example of that because this discussion won't be too complex. You just have to put in the work and try to practice everything before you open the floodgates of funding in order to be as successful as possible when it comes to running great Facebook ad campaigns.
Below are 6 ways to boost the performance of your Facebook ads so they're more profitable.
Always do your research
If you're just setting up an ad and not knowing who or where to target, you're essentially just throwing your money out the window and hoping to pull in a customer. Instead, figure out who you should be targeting, down to the age range of your ideal customers, and input that into your ads. You'd be amazed how often a successful campaign can be killed by not targeting an age range. You could be showing a product to help people over 65 years old to a group of teenagers who have no interest in it besides sharing it with their friends for a good laugh. Now, if you were to target people over 65 within a certain country or region, you would boost your ROI because only the people who would need your product or services would actually be seeing it
Be more creative
Most people just put up a simple image that blends into the rest of a persons news feed, which means they won't be increasing their click-through rates, so you'll need to focus on standing out. Get creative with your images, use some color, throw in some high-quality images and you should see your clicks increase pretty quickly.
Tweak your headline
Your headline is everything when it comes to PPC campaigns, so be sure you have it just right in order to entice people to click. If you have a bland headline, it will get glossed over, which means you're not acquiring enough clients as you should be.
If you can get some trigger words into your headline, you'll see your clicks increase, and that means more money for you in the long run. Use something like "Sale" or "Affordable" in your headline, or even use "Discount" to bring people in, and you will boost your profitability through Facebook ads.
Make your ad copy perfect
If you're not split testing, you're not winning, so be sure you have multiple ads out there on Facebook to see which ones are getting the most clicks and conversions, then delete the ones that aren't working. If you can filter out the bad ads, you will boost the success of your good ones, but you will never know which are your better ads unless you're running various versions of an ad in the first place.
I like to run 10 different ads per campaign and filtering out the bad ones over a few weeks until I have 1 to 3 well-performing ones to boost my profits. Yes, I would have made more money from the start if I just had these 3 ads, but usually, the ones I think are going to work well are the ones that just do alright, and the better-performing ones actually are secondary ads that I took a chance on
Offer something a little extra
You can give away discounts, coupon codes, freebies, etc. to anyone that is clicking through your Facebook ad to make a purchase. Only people who see your ad should be offered this little extra option, and you need to tell them this, which will help boost your conversions.
Remember, people love free stuff and discounts when it comes to something they might need, so try it out and see how many extra sales you get through your ad
Be simple
Don't get too crazy when it comes to your ads, people don't have the energy to read something that needs brain power to comprehend, so keep it simple and you will capture more people than an intelligent ad. I'm not saying people are dumb, I'm saying they don't go on social media to read something complex, so by giving them something simple will actually entice them to read longer and hopefully click through to your website where they can make a purchase
In conclusion
Facebook ads aren't actually that difficult, you just need to know what you're doing before you start running them, so always do your research prior to launching. You can always start a campaign and be successful without doing any research, but that's very rare, so just go online and read a few more articles about how to set up a proper Facebook ad campaign and know exactly how to do your targeting to have a better start than someone who just wings it from the start!
