Affiliate marketing isn't difficult if you just take your time to think

When a lot of us started out online we were drawn to affiliate marketing because we didn't need our own product or service in order to make money online.  A lot of people actually make a killing in affiliate marketing and it's because they take their time to set everything up before they actually go live.  If they were to just wing it from the start, they would likely hit a lot of roadblocks and be spending more money than they were making.

If you're looking to jump into affiliate marketing, I'll tell you that it can be difficult if you're going in 10 different directions at the same time.  You need to focus on what's working and avoid what isn't if you want to bootstrap your way to a lot of profits.

Below are just a few things to work over when you're getting into affiliate marketing, and they are:

Set up a nice looking website
You'd be amazed how many affiliate marketers have horrible looking websites that don't do much for their profits.  If you want to be taken as a professional or industry leader, you need to look the part, and your website is the first thing people will judge you on.

If you can't do your own coding, just set up a nice looking Wordpress theme that you can customize to look niche specific, then add in your affiliate URLs wherever you think they're necessary.  The better looking your website is, the more likely people will trust you when they land on your pages, and that always turns into more sales for you Affiliate marketing isn

Add plenty of content
People are always focused on adding products and services to their websites and always forget that Content Is King, so they don't do much blogging in order to keep their websites fresh.  I've come across thousands of affiliate websites in the past and not many of them are doing much content creation.  It seems like they set up their websites, run over to Facebook and set up a PPC campaign, and call it a day.  If they don't profit, the website dies out, and that's the sad part because they're leaving so much money on the table Affiliate marketing isn

Run some PPC campaigns
If you're trying to get serious about your affiliate marketing, you'll need to start running some PPC campaigns after you get plenty of content on your pages.  You will want to run the campaigns so they are targeting your articles, and you'll start to notice your readers are now making purchases through your affiliate links that you've strategically placed within the sidebars or in the content itself Affiliate marketing isn

I never really run a PPC campaign and target the product or service page directly.  I'm too worried that Facebook, Adwords, or Bing Ads will see my links and instantly ban my advertising account because they all hate affiliates lol.  I play it safe and run ads to my secondary pages, which helps me stay off of the big platforms PPC radar, and I get some sales each day while spending a little bit of money to get traffic.

Don't spam facebook groups or forums
Please, please, please stop spamming your links wherever you can!  You are doing what thousands of rookie and new affiliates are doing in order to make money.  Sure, you could make a sale here and there if you were to do this method, but you'll likely get banned pretty quick from the groups and forums because you're just posting links that don't provide value to anything.

If you're spamming your affiliate links all over the place right now, and you don't plan on stopping, you're dead to me!  lol Affiliate marketing isn

In conclusion
Affiliate marketing isn't a difficult thing to do, it just takes time to be legitimate and make a full-time income with it.  I set up a website 5 years ago and it's still making me a passive income today because of all the work I put into it back then.  I'm not getting rich off of it, but I am making an extra $150 to $300 a month off of it without having to do anything except add a new article here and there Affiliate marketing isn  Set up 10 affiliate websites like that and you can easily make a full-time income in the next few months if you do everything right Affiliate marketing isn

I think that's easier said than done. I would have to agree that if you set your mind in doing something correctly then you'll eventually earn through it. But with affiliate marketing, it was maybe effective then for people to earn good money from being affiliates.

Nowadays spending a lot of time in setting up your site and running marketing campaigns as an affiliate is a very hard thing to do more so if you create 10 sites for it. It'll cost a lot of money, and you need to be constantly sharing your links or creating videos in YouTube. What I'm saying is more and more people nowadays are like me, who really think that it's a one sided deal and one can't earn a lot from it.

You are right with the hardship that you have to undergo in order to have a good setup for affiliate marketing. I need a website of my own where I could do the posting of all the products in my affiliate list. But creating a website will incur an investment that for small freelancers like me has not budget for it. Anyway, I understand that once you have invested in affiliate marketing the income may be coming in regularly.

~ Setting up a nice website and adding content? Check!
~ Run a PPC campaign? No check. ... Yet!
~ As for NOT spamming on groups and forums, I've been “spanked” enough for my “naughty behavior” to know better now. LOL. Affiliate marketing isn When I first started in affiliate marketing and social media marketing, I got reported. I wasn't angry. Confused. But I realized I just needed to learn the “rules of etiquette”. I started in 2007. Several deleted websites, blogs, business pages and miserable failures later … I have learned! So my additional advice is: Don't give up just because you did something WRONG! Everybody goes through a learning curve. That old proverb is true. “If at first you don't succeed, try again.”

Lol don't spam! When I started out, I would spam a little bit here and there, but I put my account at risk so I stopped immediately because I wanted to keep everything in good graces with the places I was posting lol.

Not giving up after you get caught doing something wrong is a great way to push past something bad that has happened. If you get knocked down by one little thing, and you don't get back up, you likely won't last long in many fields where you run your own business.

This is a TIP and true story. I'm sharing it in case it ever happens to somebody.

I have been on Google Plus for years. Recently I started getting messages from Google that I posted a SPAM link and it was removed. I was confused. (O.o) I have had a profile for years and thought that the eMail must be a mistake. But then I got a few more eMails like that. The weird thing with Google is that you get an eMail but it doesn't tell you which post was The Offender. (O.o) I don't know! Maybe they think you should know! At any rate, I think I finally figured it out. I was trying to use some automation tools to keep my profile populated and active. It turns out that some of the links I was sharing using the automation tool violated Google's policy.

This is not the first time something like this has happened. Automation tools are great to use. But sometimes you just “Set it and forget it!” Whew! It's a good thing I remembered what I had done. I suspect if the violations had continued my account might have been deleted for repeated offenses.

So for those who use automation tools to post to your social media, be careful. The posts might get flagged as SPAM.

But the thing is that affiliate links in the forum never works. And people do understand that part. Some of the time you can see that having proper affiliate links on blog is better instead of having backlink. So I think that's why many forum owners are not going to allow that there. I am sure some of the time link building may be allowed but adding affiliate links in forum is not I am guessing.

No one will trust to purchase from a crappy website that's why it is necessary to spend money to build a great professional looking website. Producing high-quality content will not be costly if you can do it by yourself. But if writing is not one of your passions, then you might consider hiring someone to do it for you and that would be an additional cost on your side. Both SEO and PPC campaign can help reach more potential customers so using both of them might be good to consider. There are others that are really good at SEO so they don't spend money on PPC campaign.

I am still in the process of learning the ins and outs of affiliate marketing. Although I have no immediate plans of indulging in affiliate marketing, I know that there will come a time that I would need that as a means of income. And I agree that I should take my time for now and learn the important details of affiliate marketing so that when I finally join the bandwagon, I will be armed with enough knowledge.

I think affiliate marketing is one method that has to be processed slowly. You can't get things done overnight. You have to work on it one day at a time. By the end of the year you would have enough to show for the site and have enough content for the niche too.I'd say that some of the affiliate marketing methods give results but take time.

We are sailing in the same boat. There is no need to rush and get hurt. Being slow but sure is the way when it comes to affiliate marketing.

Thanks for this tips, that's right, a decent website will attract customers, people nowadays are so vigilant about the website, and even it's legit, they don't possibly trust it because of how the website owner design the website.

I think you have been doing this for quite a long time so it seems a bit easy for you. As a newbie there is a lot to learn especially if you are doing it on a budget. I know that you can learn anthing and its just a matter of time. I'm learning to be patient although its really really hard. I agree with all your tips except the PPC campaigns. I was reading an article today that advised that its better to learn how to grow your traffic organically, PPC's don't really convert that well.

When I started out, I would spam a little bit here and there
I did the same thing when I was promoting a blog a year or so ago. It was a waste of time. While initially I did draw some traffic from Facebook groups and "friends" who saw my posts. All that traffic fizzled out after about two weeks. It made me lose interest in blogging for a while because my site wasn't getting traffic anymore.

If one seeks quick returns from affiliate marketing spamming isn't the answer. They should be willing to spend money on ads.

From that experience I learned that in order to succeed at any business venture online, you need to be patient since it will take a while to gain trust, convince prospective buyers to buy what you are promoting.

Yes, there are some websites even of big companies that look so crappy that even a college-going teenager can be able to come up with a better-looking website. I think when you are starting afresh in the field of affiliate marketing, having a professional looking website is a must to attract potential customers. Also knowing the right place for putting your affiliate links in order to ensure optimum result from it is also very essential. I think once you gain enough experience then you may be able to maximize your results through affiliate marketing

On the surface, affiliate marketing looks very easy - sign up, advertise your links and get commissions but it could be more difficult and intricate than that. A lot of work goes into it, setting up a website, ensuring the content is relevant and up to date and then attracting customers. The best way to go about this, in my opinion, is writing an ebook and putting your link in it. Whenever someone downloads your ebook and buys using your link, you make money
