When you think about running a Facebook ad campaign to get more sales, you usually think of sending traffic directly to your homepage or one of your subpages in order to make money. What if I told you that you could actually save money, boost your sales, and remarket to a potential client for free later on down the road with a Facebook ad campaign that was used to send traffic to your Facebook page and not your website?
I've actually been doing this for a while, but it was to build my following on my facebook pages and not actually generate sales, but I boosted my sales by a minimum of 10% just by doing one little trick What I do is send people to my facebook page in hopes they will like my page, if they do like it I can publish a post during prime times and hope they see it. If they see it and click through, I don't have to pay for those clicks if they're finding my posts and coming of their own free will What's really awesome about this is my websites facebook page is optimized for clicks since I have my URL easily viewable and people can also click "Shop Now" just under the header image. I boost my sales simply by sending people to my facebook page in hopes they will like it, which they usually do, and I can advertise to them for free later on
In this discussion, I'll go over what you need to do in order to have a successful campaign like this, and those things are:
Take your time building your campaign
A rushed campaign creation is never a good thing to do because you could miss a few key things that might ruin everything. You'll need to take a minimum of 30 minutes to create a simple campaign, but you'll need to optimize it well enough that people know you're trying to encourage them to like your page. You won't be advertising your services, you'll just be getting them to your page to like and maybe even drop a comment if they really want to
Use custom images in your ads
Using stock images might not be the best thing to do, which is why I always try to customize them as much as possible in order to stick out from the crowd. If you need to use stock images, be sure to upload them to photoshop/gimp or even MS paint if you need to in order to customize them somehow. You don't have to get crazy, just be sure you stand out, and your click-through rate should increase
Run multiple ads in each campaign
Whenever I'm running a PPC campaign I will always run a minimum of 10 ads in order to do some split testing to figure out what works how I need it to and what is a dud and needs to be removed from the campaign. Right now I removed 1 ad that had the most impressions out of the 10, but it had the least amount of clicks while also having the highest CPC, which meant I was paying too much for this ad to run when I have others that are far outperforming this one that could shine better if the dud was removed
Optimize your campaign over a few weeks and you will be happy you did because you'll be saving money, making more sales, and building your profile all at the same time in order to advertise for free to them later on when you publish any sort of post to your page
Use incentives and social proof in your ads
Incentives are what people gravitate towards but using social proof is what gets people to really click through. Incentives can be anything from a BOGO (buy one get one) to a coupon code for a specific amount off with their next order. Both of these work well, but you'll only know which is better for your audience if you try them at the same time, so get to work lol.
Adding social proof to your ads is what will boost your CTR as well as your conversions. This is because people will see "Our 35,000 customers love us and we know you will too!" and they will automatically think "Hey, they have a load of clients already which means I'll likely love their services too!" and they'll be more willing to sign up Add in some social proof and see if it becomes one of your better ads
Select specific interests to narrow down your reach
Narrowing down your audience is crucial if you're targeting a specific set of people. I like to filter people based on interests, which basically shows your ad to people who might be interested in it, and that means your likes will be higher than average because you're something they might like
Target specific countries or areas if needed
If you only write in English, be sure to advertise to only the people who understand English. You will also want to get specific in-country targeting because you might not be able to sell a product to someone in India or Africa if you're in Canada and don't offer international shipping. If you're building up your Facebook page with likes, you want those likes to be potential customers that you can get a product to, so get targeted
In conclusion
Sending people to your facebook page instead of sending them directly to your homepage or subpage will help you out in the long run and you may even capture a lot of sales right away if your page is set up to convert well Split test, use social proof, use incentives, narrow your audience and get targeted to be sure your page likes are from people that are actually going to show interest whenever you post something. If you do all of this you will increase your sales with every post you publish, the more you build your audience means the more likely you'll profit more every time

So let me get this right, instead of implementing a landing page URL in your add you are adding the URL of your Facebook page instead? So people clicking the add will be redirected on your facebook page right? How do you optimize such a campaign? Do you pay for impressions or for clicks?
Can you please detail the actual optimization phase of such a campaign towards gaining likes?
Cheers. Hey Tommy! Highly interesting subject. I'm rather new to facebook ads and facebook growth in general, but the idea you are presenting here is very interesting. So let me get this right, instead of implementing a landing page URL in your add you are adding the URL of your Facebook page instead? So people clicking the add will be redirected on your facebook page right? How do you optimize such a campaign? Do you pay for impressions or for clicks?
