When it comes to guest posting, people see it as a great way to boost your rankings, but it's so much more than that!  You can literally brand your business and website through the right guest posts, and it doesn't take much time to do at all!  You can sit down and write up a bunch of articles one day, then submit them to the websites you want to guest post on, and wait for a response.  Usually they will publish your content if you contact them first, but sometimes they will be stuck up and just ignore you completely, but that's ok too because you don't need your content on those type of annoying websites lol.

Guest posts are absolutely great for boosting your rankings, even after they were devalued a bit by Google and the other search engines, so be sure to try and guest post on niche related websites by adding amazing content to them

In this discussion I'll be going over why branding should include guest posts, and that's because:


You will get seen by the masses
It's no secret that a lot of blogs and websites of authority are getting a lot of traffic.  This means if you get your guest post on their pages, you can be seen by a massive amount of people within your niche and boost your sales as well as your authority and branding

Branding is a difficult thing to do, only because it takes so long to achieve, so you should start doing it as soon as you can and enjoy the benefits of it for years to come


You'll get niche related backlinks and higher rankings
We all know that backlinks are amazing to acquire when it comes to boosting your rankings, but high authority niche related backlinks are your guaranteed shot to the top of the rankings for your keywords.  Of course, you'll have to build a decent amount of these before you see your rankings stabilize at #1, but that should be a pretty obvious factor that should be known.  You won't hit #1 with a single niche related backlink from a website that is considered a high authority within your industry, you'll have to work much more than that to succeed lol

You can get direct sales from the posts
Your guest posts can bring in direct sales due to how much traffic the website is getting.  Your post may be seen 1,000 times a month or it could be seen 100,000 times a month, but no matter how many times it's seen, you'll likely get some clicks to your website which could turn into more sales

You're adding quality content to a 3rd party website, for free, and getting some sales in return.  Usually you'll have to write up something that is amazing and over 2,000 or 2,500 words, but that's not a big deal because you can outsource it to a credible writer or just take your time and write it yourself   You can even rewrite a great article from an authority website and pitch it as your own

You will become an authority the more you guest posts
Over time, you will become an authority within your industry and niche because of all the guest posts you've making.  You will be seen on multiple websites, by the same people, and they will think "Hey, I saw this website on that other site, let me check them out and bookmark their homepage!" which will turn into plenty of traffic later on

Guest posts are definitely good at boosting your rankings, but they're even better at building an authoritative brand and bringing people in for a long time to come


In conclusion
Guest posting to boost your rankings is a good thing, but using them to brand your business and website is a great thing!  You can literally boost your rankings in the search engines with guest posts and you can get direct sales from the links you place in the post itself.  You won't get all the guest posts you want to go live, because some people just don't want your content, but that shouldn't stop you from trying!  Get out there and build your posts, then benefit later on when your rankings begin to jump up
