For more traffic do you need seo or content?

For more traffic do you need seo or content ? Please dont' say both, as I know both is better than one. So, which is more favored ?

I would say content first, than SEO. No matter how much SEO work you have done, if you do not have visitors and/or if your site is not popular - it will not succeed. So unique content first, than SEO is what I would do and has always worked for me.

Believe it or not, but I don't do any SEO for one of my blogs, I just post interesting content. And my traffic ig growing day after day.

For more traffic, you need contents that are properly optimized for search engines. having too many contents do not ensure traffic, however, having few contents with proper SEO will generate a good traffic. I have 150 articles on hubpages. However, only 20 percent of my articles generate good traffic. rest of the 80 percent articles do not receive good traffic. 150 articles is quite a big numbers, however, only 30 articles get good traffic because these articles are properly optimized.

Well stated,I don't think it about just writing contents because a lot of people have good contents on their site but optimizing it for the search engine is the deal.if one needs organic traffic from the search engine then the right thing should be done to get the desired result which is optimization.

Though the two work hand in hand I think content is the most outstanding.Without content every other thing is zero,so to push your blog out there post good contents and people will always return.

I’m not really well-versed with SEO and I don’t know how to make the website SEO compliant. But with the content, I believe that traffic will be easier to get when you have dynamic and contents. For example in a blog, if your articles are worth reading since it is informative and with substance, it may even be shared by your readers in their social media account to gather more readers. So I will go for the contents and not much for the SEO.
