When it comes to the ever changing SEO methods, it can get pretty confusing since we have to learn constantly. If you were to take 6 months off, then come back to do your own optimization, you would likely have to read a few books to get up to date on what has changed since you left. SEO changes constantly, but it usually changes based on what we're doing as webmasters, and the search engines want to index and rank us accordingly.
It doesn't matter if you're just putting up quality content or it you're putting up spun content that doesn't look great, your actions push Google and the other search engines to be better than they are currently. If the search engines didn't do everything they could, to boost the good webmasters and drop the negative ones, we would still be in the wild west of algorithms and everyone would rank as long as they could get their hands on SEO software lol
I actually thank a lot of SEO software developers because they're reducing my competition since a lot of people who buy the software don't actually learn how to use it properly, and they hurt their own rankings. Even the ones who use the software how it was suppose to be used will hurt their rankings because you'll never get the same type of links that I'm getting when I post quality content to 3rd party websites that has to be manually approved
Let's get into it, shall we
SEO changes based on our actions
Search engine optimization isn't some tricky thing to do and boost your rankings, but people get impatient and eventually drop their own rankings, then they complain about it in open forums lol. If we didn't have people like this, who are using the newest and best SEO software on the market, the algorithms wouldn't be changing for the better.
Think about it, if no one every got caught using software to boost their rankings, we wouldn't have such a difficult time now boosting our rankings. Well, that might not be true, because we'd be doing software battles to see who can combine all the SEO software and build the largest amount of unnatural links in the shortest amount of time haha
SEO changes because of what we do, and that's a good thing
New platforms push SEO in different directions
Before Facebook there was MySpace, and back then SEO was much different, you could rank with software and annoy your competition. With all the new platforms, like Facebook and LinkedIn, coming out and changing how we use the internet, SEO also changes. I know Facebook and LinkedIn aren't new, I'm just using them as examples because everyone knows what they are lol.
Quora and other websites that seem to come out of no where will alter how we get backlinks, and how our rankings change, which is a good and bad thing. It's a good thing because we can get great backlinks from new platforms, but it could be a bad thing because we will now have to learn how the new platforms will affect out SEO
If we stop trying to rank our sites, SEO slows down
I doubt this would ever happen, because we all want to get that top spot in the SERPs, but if we stop trying to rank out websites then SEO will actually slow down. Think about it, how many times have you tried to boost your own rankings, and how many times has it worked well? If we all stopped trying to build backlinks on our own, the rankings would be drastically different and the entire process of ranking would slow down.
We wouldn't be publishing content on 3rd party websites, we wouldn't be searching for those high quality links, we wouldn't be building up partnerships as much as we already do, and so many other things. We probably wouldn't even see SEO companies out there promising you higher rankings, and if we did, it would be a billion dollar company lol
If we all stopped doing out own SEO, and just focused on branding and sales generation, we would see a dramatic change in the SERPs and I don't know if that would be a good or bad thing.
We find vulnerabilities within the algorithms, which Google then evolves
This happens all the time, and it's why Google is on top of their search algorithm, which is a good thing for the people who legitimately build up their rankings. Think about it, if there were never a website like ezinearticles, we wouldn't have had an update that focuses on high quality content on niche related websites to boost our own rankings. We would also be able to post 1,000s of profile links using Xrumer to boost our rankings overnight, and rake in the cash, but Google is on top of these things and only wants to rank the credible websites that put in the work to build their brands
Google evolves just as much as our technology does, and it might be because they're now inventing a lot of the technology we use in our day to day lives. Without the evolution of the algorithms, we would have a much more difficult time ranking out sites.
In conclusion
SEO is around because we all want to be on top of the search engine results pages (SERPs) to get free traffic that converts extremely well. The algorithms evolve along side of us and our methods, because they need to know how to sift out the negative websites and keep the good ones who are doing everything the legitimate way. The future of SEO depends on our own actions because we're the ones who are fueling it. If we stop, SEO stops, and that might be a crazy part of time I'd like to see I'm not saying it would be a good thing, but it would be controlled chaos for a little while, and that's always an interesting thing to watch.

Well, some might think you could buy links, but how would you buy sharing? Well, wait maybe you could. Has anyone heard of such schemes? Centurion The methods and techniques of SEO has been getting change day by day. Its totally depend son to me now if I am a SEO expert- I will find out the way - on which way I can rank the website. For the upcoming future SEO techniques will be change also a huge because platforms of websites programming has been changing day by day quickly. Previously E-commerce product has been listed on a website on a serial way- now templates are available for adding products only and SEO has been getting so much easy. In case of duplicate products SEO is tough. I think in case of white hat SEO - keyword based content and back link will play an important role more time for making any website rank. Thanks Centurion
