How to easily generate 100+ blog post ideas in less than 1 hour

One of the biggest things that has a lot of people stepping back and taking another look at how to run a website is the amount of content that needs to be created in order to be competitive within their industry.  If you're just like them, you're probably finding it difficult to come up with enough headlines for your blog posts, and then producing plenty of content to go with those headlines in order to make your website or blog active.  Unfortunately, it's not as easy as you might think it is.  You need to consistently come up with new ideas for topics and also complete the job with some high quality content that is optimized at the same time. 

Don't let that stop you in your tracks, there are ideas everywhere for your next title to a great article!

So, to do this, you'll need to get a .txt file open, a word doc opened, a pen and piece of paper, or whatever it is you prefer when it comes to writing down a list and saving it   You'll also be able to use a timer, which is optional, in order to see how many titles you can actually produce in under an hour.  Generating 100 titles is a good start, but you can likely generate many more in an hour if you get use to everything I'm going to cover in this discussion.


Are you ready to compile your list of titles?  Lets Do This!


You need to be where the people are
People all over the world are asking questions in order to get a response from someone that has more knowledge on a topic than they do.  Do you already see where I'm getting at?  What you can do is simply look for niche related forums by opening up Google and searching for "Your Niche + Forum" and you will likely get a nice list in the search results.  For me, I can search "Online Marketing Forum" or "Internet Marketing Forum" and I'll get a list of thousands of big forums talking about online marketing, and I'll be able to find people asking questions, which I likely have the answers for

Since you're doing a niche specific search, you won't have to filter out many different sections, you can just find someone asking a question.  In my niche, online marketing, I'll likely find something along the lines of these questions below:

1. What are backlinks?
2. How do I build backlinks?
3. How do I set up a hosting account?
4. How do I design a website?
5. Is wordpress good to use if I'm on a budget?
6. What is blackhat SEO?

Now, there's 2 ways you can work with this.  You can either take these questions and turn them into a title itself or you can write up a title that will help the person asking the question, such as:

• What are backlinks - Explanation
• What are backlinks - Best Answers
• What is blackhat SEO - What to avoid

or

• Backlinks 101 and how you can use them
• The best backlink methods and how they should be used
• The truth behind blackhat SEO and what you need to know

You can usually generate a few different titles for each questions if you go through the comments and see what people are saying.  Usually people will ask follow up questions, and those are more titles that can be generated   You can also use this method on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn but I've found more success using my own method of searching niche related forums

When you use this method, you're going where the people are and letting them generate your titles.  You know people are asking the questions, so why not write about them and siphon traffic from the search engines


Use a title generator
This is possibly one of my favorite ways to generate titles because it's like asking someone, who doesn't know much about your industry, to generate some titles for you lol.  Basically, all you have to do is input a keyword or two and you can generate a list or just a few different titles at a time.  Some of the titles that get generated might seem odd, and not grammatically correct, so you'll have to work with them and see what you can come up with. 

There are a few different title generators out there and I haven't decided which one I like most, so you'll just have to get out there and do some research on your own.  If you do a basic Google search for "Blog Title Generator" or "Article Title Generator" or simply "Title Generator", you'll get a pretty big list of these free title generators for your creation processes

This can actually be your only method to generate titles and you'll get a pretty large list of titles in no time at all.  Sure, some of the titles might start looking similar, so you'll have to put your own spin on them. 

This method isn't as well known because everything hears "free title generator" and they think it's cheap and not productive, but some of these generators get pretty good and you won't have to spend a single penny on them


Look through your bookshelf
The majority of us will have books related to our industry, but not all of us so this method might not work for everyone.  That's not a problem though, there are many other ways to generate titles, so just read through this and decide if it's something you could use

Now then, by going through your bookshelf you can figure out a few ideas simply by altering the titles of your own books.  One book a lot of us marketers own is "The 4 hour work week" and if you don't own it, I'd suggest you go out and purchase it   So, we can take "The 4 hour work week" and turn it into titles, such as:

1. How to only work 4 hours on your marketing campaign each week
2. It's possible to only work 4 hours a week on your websites
3. 4 hours a week and $XX,XXX profit per year

See!  I thought of 3 titles on the fly that would get people to click through and it only took me the time to write them up lol. 

You can use this method for literally any niche, so get to your bookshelf and start sifting through it to figure out some titles!


Look through blog comments
If you've been blogging for a while, you've likely gotten a decent amount of comments to all of your posts combined.  You can't let these little golden nuggets of content go unnoticed, they will help you generate plenty of content for your blog or content marketing purposes   You might only get 1 comment per post, but that's usually enough to get your next blog post rolling, as long as the post isn't spammy or something like "Great Post!"

I bet you're thinking "I don't get any comments!  This doesn't work for me!" and you're in the same boat as a ton of people out there, but you're not the only one talking about your niche   All you would have to do is go to a popular blog and see what their people are commenting and then create your own titles off of that


Rewriting your competitors best blog posts
This is a really good method if you've hit a wall, and are good at writing without copying too much from your competition.  I use this method sometimes when I run out of titles and I feel like I'm hitting a writers block, and it works very well when it comes to getting higher rankings within the SERPs and getting traffic to your blog or website

What you'll be doing is going to any authority website or blog within your niche and searching through their posts.  They could be posting 10 times a day, or not at all, so you'll need to make a list of the websites or blogs that are active.  After you have your list, you can then go through each of these websites or blogs and write down your own version of their titles while copying and pasting the URL of where you found the article, right under the title you've just come up with.  When you have your unique title and the URL of where the original article is at, you can keep the search going and generate a massive amount of unique titles

This will allow you to easily generate a title and have all the content at your fingertips in order to rewrite it in your own way.

This method isn't for everyone because we all can't write well, which will make it difficult to be unique in the eyes of the search engines.  What I'll do is read the article, section by section, then start writing it in my own words.  This way I can be sure that my article will be unique and I won't have to worry about anything when the search engines find my new content



In Conclusion
When it comes to generating a lot of titles in a short amount of time, it can be a daunting task if you don't know what you're doing.  If you use the tricks I mentioned above, you will easily generate 100+ titles in less than an hour, and that's plenty of titles to keep you busy for a long time   So get to work, start generating your titles and let me know which method you like best
