You will have to set up some services and optimize them for the internal search results. You will have to add your desired keywords to your titles and descriptions in order to show up easier when someone is looking for a service just like yours.
When creating your service, you need to add some life to the description, you can't just have a wall of text and hope you're going to get a massive amount of sales. Within the description, you will need to show some examples and have high-quality content in order to entice people to sign up with you. You'd be surprised how many people put up a wall of content, without any sort of formatting or adding examples/images, and then come back to complain about how they aren't making any sales.
You can do some research on your competition, or just look at some of the top sellers, and get an idea of what your service should look and feel like.
After you have all of that setup, you may not have the sales rolling in right away. If that's the case, you might want to purchase a featured spot. You can either do a homepage featured for $550+ or a category feature for $75+ in order to be seen at the top of the homepage or the category you're listed in. Obviously, the $550+ homepage feature will get you more sales because you'll be getting more views on your service, but that's a lot of money to invest into something that might not pay off.
You will have to respond to your inquiries as quickly as possible. If you don't respond quickly, you will notice a drop in sales. Even if you get someone who asks a question you're not sure the answer of, you will still need to respond in order to keep your response times low (this will help you later on when you are trying to boost your member level
You will need to stay professional, even when people are angry at you for some reason or another. Not everyone can be pleased, so you'll need to understand that people will get mad over the smallest things, this can't really be avoided.
If you've worked on upwork for a while, you likely know most of this already since that's another big marketplace type platform where people post jobs and you basically bid on them. Here people post the job and the buyers come and pay the freelancer to get something done.
Hopefully, that helps
