Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

When you're a writer or a blogger, you think of how you can write up content for yourself and post it on your own website or blog.  Not many people go the route of dedicating themselves to write quality content for other websites in the hopes of getting some benefits that other users aren't rewarded.  When I'm talking about being a dedicated writer for other websites, I'm not talking about submitting a guest post here and there, I'm talking about writing every day in hopes of getting rewarded for your work.

You can get rewarded in many ways that can benefit you immensely.  Not all the time will you be offered a paid position to write up quality content, but that is definitely a possibility.  You should target the websites or forums you want to gain benefits from and think of what you can write for them.  Writing on forums won't get you noticed as much as if you were to submit content to a blog, but you shouldn't write them off completely just yet.  The smaller forums, the ones that aren't yet in the limelight, can be good targets for you to post high-quality content on in order to get noticed by the staff and moderators who are running everything.

In this discussion, if you haven't figured it out yet, is about the benefits you can get simply from adding quality content to other peoples websites and forums, and those benefits are:

Becoming a Moderator
You'd actually be surprised how easy it is to get on the radar of the staff members at a blog or forum.  All you really have to do is be active on the website or forum you're targeting and over time you will likely get contacted by the person who is in charge of appointing moderators.  Usually, this is an unpaid position, but that's fine because you can now get all your posts in the limelight as a part of the free benefits from being a moderator Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

I was a moderator of a smaller marketing forum and was able to post directly to the blog as well as get more attention to my forum threads because I was a mod, and people always want to be on your good side lol.  If you have a sales thread, and you're a moderator at the same time, you will see an increase in sales because people will see your status on the forum or blog and automatically think of you as the best possible candidate to get the job done.

Getting All of Your Posts Accepted
When you're posting a lot of quality content to a website for a while, you will notice that your posts won't go into moderation as much as they did when you were starting off.  This is because you've been granted permissions to put your posts at the top of the moderation queue or you might be one of the lucky few and see your posts auto-accepted, bypassing the moderation firewall lol Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

Having all of your posts accepted right away or in a short amount of time means you can churn out high-quality content and not have to worry about how long it will take before Google sees it, resulting in higher rankings for your website if you have some links in the content Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

Getting Paid For Your Guest Posts
Blogging is a great way to earn money online, but you need to wait a while before your content starts to rank within the search engines.  Guest posting, however, gets you paid almost immediately because you were accepted by the owner of the website or forum you're posting on.  This means you get paid per post and you don't have to wait for your content to rank high in the search engines and get clicks on your ads, or have advertisers pay you for ad placements.

Paid guest posts can payout much higher than you would expect.  I've written a few guest posts and gotten paid between $75 and $250 for each of them, and that's not even the highest!   I've seen some really long, 6,000+ word articles/discussions, written up as a guest post and the person claimed they were paid $750+ for it Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits   I wouldn't mind writing up one of those a day for $750+ Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

Getting Sticky Sales Threads
If you frequent forums a lot, you've probably come across sticky threads pretty often.  They are similar to the featured services here on seocheckout, they stick to the top of the listings on the homepage or the top of the category page.

Getting noticed and obtaining free sticky benefits is a huge deal because your post can sit at the top of the category or homepage, sending your service or website a massive amount of traffic over time.  I've seen some stickies get hundreds of thousands of views simply from being on popular forums.  Imagine if you could get your sales thread to sit at the top of 10 forums, do you think you could make some extra money from that? Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

In Conclusion
Submitting high quality content to forums and blogs with no obvious intention of getting posting benefits will likely get you some benefits over time lol Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits   The benefits will range from getting your posts auto approved to the website or forum asking you if you want to be a mod, giving you the ultimate power when it comes to running a website or blog Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

Yes, I think you are right. I was a regular poster on a forum for awhile and ended up with a paid posting gig for the owner. It was pretty good. I think the more you show up on a forum the more you presence is noted. It can be rewarding for you.

Me too. But I had to decline because I don't have the time for such a position.

It's fun when the site owner considers you because of your consistent quality and effort. We just don't know how good our contributions are until someone tells us. That's why it's important to keep going. Do what you love and results will come your way.

Yes, it can pay off. It doesn't always though, because even if your efforts are good, sometimes people are looking for great. It just pays to keep at it though, because you can always improve, and just because one person might not appreciate you, there are others.

These are a lot of great suggestions here. I think that I would really like to look into how to promote myself as a guest blogger or contributor. I am not exactly sure how to market myself yet in this way, and my fields of expertise are primarily language and literature related, so I am not sure exactly how huge the market could be for my own unique commentary. I have been doing really well getting paid for posting at forums, though, but it is definitely a time-consuming process!

Set up a blog that has the domain name related to your actual name, then blog about the topics you want to be noticed for.

After you get 20 or 30 posts, start contacting big publications and see if you can write for them. Sometimes you'll have to post for free on these big publications, but it won't always be free Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

What I did, which isn't actually finished yet because I've been busy, was set up https://www.tommycarey.com and I've blogged a little bit about content writing. After I get a few dozen posts, I'm going to start contacting big publications like Forbes.com and Entrepreneur.com and see if I can write for them. I'll get to mention my website in my signature, which would make me a decent amount of money through all the people finding and hiring me, so I probably wouldn't care if these publications would pay me lol Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits After I get a few posts on each platform, I will then link to my writing profiles on those platforms directly from my homepage, so people can see exactly where my content is and know I'm a serious writer.

Now, this is a plan that is difficult to achieve, but it's definitely possible to do as long as I stick with it and keep getting my content noticed Become a dedicated writer for multiple websites and get paid with benefits

Thanks for asking this question JoeMilford.
Thanks for answering TommyCarey.

I was thinking the other day about the best way to hire myself out as a writer.

I had been a contributor to a blog but that was by invitation, I mean I was invited to submit and when I did it was published. That was a long time ago and since then I haven’t received another invitation. My take on guest blogging is for you to search high and low for a popular blogger who will accept you as a guest blogger. But I agree that if you are a guest blogger for 3 or more blogs then you will be having a substantial income.

I was once offered a paid posting/admin position for a forum previously but I wasn't able to take on the position, mostly because I was very busy with my own endeavors and the forum was just starting. Pretty much empty with little to no membership. It would've simply taken too much time to get that forum to take off, if at all. I also wasn't very passionate about the forums overall topic as the original owner was.

I began writing online by publishing contents on Helium, Squidoo and Hubpages. I was posting on Helium and Squidoo until these sites were shut down. I was publishing on Hubpages until 2015 and stopped after I launched my own blogs and websites. These writing sites helped me grow as an online writer. Apart from writing on my blogs and websites, I also write for clients. I also do forum posting. Writing for other websites bring you easy money and also help you get established as a writer. Publishing ebooks on the sites like Amazon will help you establish your brand.

I really would love to get paid for blogging, but I have never tried to reach out to anyone and I only know a lot about MMORPG's and computers, and Xbox's and Playstation's. So, in general, my skills are not very marketable. =( However I did have a guy ask me to be a moderator for his from. But he only wanted to pay me $40 a month and I would have to put at least 4~8hrs a day in the forum and as much as I like the website it's not worth it. My free time is a lot more valuable than that.

Google loves quality traffic every time. If you are a good writer than you can create a blog for your regular content and you can link your blog to Google a d s e n s e and Google a d s e n s e will pay you a huge on every months.

Another thing I would love to mention (that I mention a lot it seems) is to know your worth as a writer (or for generally other things you do). Surely you could get more exposure if you write for websites that offered a very low amount, but you are in my opinion selling yourself short. If you have been writing for years, with evidence of this writing and you are still writing 1000 word articles for $10 (I believe this is the normal pricing for 1000 word articles these days) then you are selling yourself way too short! Now, that sounds harsh but think about it like this, you have years of writing experience, and have written probably for many platforms, websites, or companies. If you continue to write articles for $10 or another lowball amount then you would sought after because you are a very good writer who charges clients a really low amount to write fantastic content. Do not slave away and write for a low amount. Know your worth. This goes for anyone else freelancing online, know your worth.

I have never thought about it but I see it as a nice idea, I have never applied for such before only when I sell my article and stories online, I think I will start applying for it to see how it goes that means I will be pushing my boundaries.

I have written many blogs already, some using my name and some articles that are credited to other persons. Admittedly, it is not easy to submit articles because of the probability of being rejected. Of course, I had a good experience with rejections but I treat it as a lesson to improve my craft. But when my article submission is accepted, that is already a good reward aside from the payment. And writing for several websites can enhance your reputation in the internet. Sometimes I get a message when I join a forum that one member was glad to see me there as if he already knows me personally. That’s a compliment for me.

I have to ask though. How do you find a site where you can guest post and earn from it? I want to learn how to do this and this may in turn change my pace in my writing skills too. I wanted to try out this and see how it goes for me but I don't know where to look for one to guest post.

I have actually worked as a moderator for one forum owner. I never asked for the job but from my dedication to with my post and quality content creation on daily basis for the good of the forum is what got me that opportunity and I started earning more than ever imagined from participating in the forum as a poster. Dedication and good content creation is the key to getting such opportunity knocking at your door without an invitation from you.

I've been seriously posting on forums for a couple of years now, and while I've always posted quality content, I feel like the pay off really isn't worth the effort when it comes to dedicating yourself to forums. I've gotten some rewards in the forms of gift cards and such, but no real cash that you can actual include as part of your income.

Getting paid to guest post on blogs though is an interesting concept to me. I'm interested in starting my own blog, and honestly I'd be content if it made me anywhere between $75-$150 a month. Because of my low expectations the idea of getting paid at least $75 for one post alone seems wild to me!

I have been a moderator and even the part of the administrator team more than once in the past but I have to admit that not once did anybody offer to pay me for the work that I have put into it. I am not sure why? Maybe because it was years ago, who knows.

I am quite happy with my current earnings as a blogger though. I've found what I'm good at and that's the most important thing. I believe that if you are passionate about what you're writing that it will show.

I am a member of a particular forum and another member wanted me to write on his blogs after going through my posts. The amount he was offering me was not bad. So, I grabbed this opportunity and earned a good amount while I was working on there. After some time I got a better opportunity and I stopped working for that person.

When you're only starting in becoming a dedicated freelance writer online, one of the most important things to do is to apply the necessary effort and write appropriately, according to the set rules, in an interesting conversational manner. You need to be professional and have the basics of writing down. This will help you attract the interest of website owners who also want to get their business up and running. It helps to apply effort in everything because you'll never know when you will catch your big break.

There are different websites that hire professional bloggers and advertise for bloggers like pro blogjob board. There are many things it is one of the options that you can find when you are looking to be the sort of jobs that you need. It is quite helpful.

Thanks for this useful information for I've been thinking of ways that I can get in contact with some blogs that are looking for those will be writing for them. As a person, I've always seen blogging as a way that many make some money and working as a guest blogger is one thing that have been on my mind.

When I'm done with the works that I have at the moment, I will give that site a try to see how good it can be when it comes to getting paid as a guest blogger.

Is there suggested site for that? like posting in a forum and earn extra income? I wonder if how much the basic payment for that, and if it that's enough to stop my job, and become a freelancer or blogger.

Posting quality aritlces on blogs and forums with no hope of getting paid is really a good way to become popular there and the funny thing is that you are advertising yourself indirectly without paying a dime as well. I've gotten some writing projects as a result of making good contents. Also, working as a moderator is quite okay and we know that one can get quality connections as working on the platform.

I have no idea that being a moderator has no salary I thought they're being paid and that's a good strategy for being a moderator. I want to be a professional writer someday and own a blog but for now, I need to learn more stuff about how to be a good writer. It might take time but I'm willing to learn and read more articles like this. Thanks for the tips.

Hmm. I don't write in the "hopes" of anything. You should make money and the rules for making it need to be upfront before you even start. There are plenty of regular writing gigs that pay a flat rate, general about $75 per blog. So on that basis you work out how to have ever post accepted and the money scales up. The only reason to write regularly for any site without payment arrangements up front is that you are writing as a hobby not a job. If they are getting your work for free and it is good, why would they feel the need to start paying you?

I do agree with you completely that there's a lot of benefits and just to add, the writer will also boost his credibility, popularity and his influence and this would open him up to invites and other income opportunities.

I agree, posting on forums are one way to earn. Posting quality post can attract the admin. of the site and maybe if you are lucky enough they can hire you as one of their staff in that site.

An inspirational article for all bloggers. And it is something should think about. While a blog can make someone money one probably stands to earn more if they write for the bigger publications. And for those who aren't sure they'll get any response, the good news is these publications are always seeking great content and always have room for one more excellent writer.

p.s By the way I once thought about writing for screenrant and actually contacted them. They replied, said they needed to see any film reviews I had written. I hadn't so I never did reply. I wonder how differently things would have turned out if I already had numerous film-related articles posted on some blog.
