Entice people to write content for you, for free
When it comes to writing up content for your website, it can be a pretty daunting task, staying up late hours and hammering out article after article. So what do you do if you hit a wall and can't write up another article on your website or blog? Why not get people to write for you so you don't have to do it yourself? Some of you are now saying "Well, that would be nice but I can't afford something like that!" and that's understandable, but you don't have to pay for the content if you do the little tricks I'll be covering in this discussion
Writing content for your own website or blog is what will make you become the authority you deserve to be. You can't climb the rankings within Google, Yahoo! and Bing if you're not constantly adding content to your pages or posts. If you just have a website up and running with adwords or facebook ads generating you traffic, that's great, but what happens if those platforms ban you and dry up your traffic source?
You need to start generating content from day one, whether it be yourself or others writing it up, you need to get started as soon as your domain is live on your hosting account In this discussion, you'll learn a few tricks I like to use in order to get some free content out of my viewers
Give out free backlinks in the form of signatures
This is one of the more common ways you can entice people to come in and post articles for free. Basically, what you'll be doing is letting people come to your website and post what they want, as long as it's related to your niche. In return, they will be gifted a signature link aimed at whatever website they want. Usually, the website they are aiming the link at will be niche related, but not always, and that's not for you to worry about.
So do you go with DoFollow or NoFollow links?
- DoFollow Signature Links: DoFollow links will entice more writers to come in and share their experiences and general content in order to help boost them up in the search engines. People will share information on your website because it will help them out in the long run.
- NoFollow Signature Links: NoFollow links won't pull in as many writers because the benefits are almost none. You won't be helping random websites with their search engine rankings, so why would they come in and post quality content for no benefit at all? Well, if you have a high authority website, you can restrict your writers in a way where they have to be accepted into the pool of writers before they can post freely. If you have a bunch of traffic to your website, writers won't care if the links are NoFollow or DoFollow, they will post in order to siphon some traffic from you, and that's how they will benefit from your website.
Offer guest blogging spots
Guest blogging is a big thing when it comes to getting your content on a big named website. Not all websites can offer this type of writing and get a bunch of applicants wanting to share high-quality content, but it's still a possibility. If you can get your website up to DA30+ and TF30+ then you can entice users to submit quality articles in exchange for a DoFollow backlink.
Guest blogging works best if your website is in the limelight or has a decent authority. People won't usually come to your website and post high-quality content if you just started off. Sure, you can get a few posts a month, for free, but not many people will waste their time on your site unless you've proven that you are dedicated to building your site as a business and want to be successful. People will take chances with your site, and post content if they think your authority will jump later on down the road. Think of it this way, it's similar to investing when you put money into a company and expect to make more down the road due to the company getting better and better. Guest posting on unknown websites is like investing, but not using any of your money. You post the content in hopes that they will increase their own authority, in turn passing that authority to you in the form of a DoFollow backlink.
Offer a revenue split among all authors hitting your pre-defined goals
This is actually a great way to bring in bloggers and get them to post free content to your pages. You can offer a revenue split with anyone who hits a quota each month. You can split 50% of your profits or even 100% if that's what you really want to do, just be sure to keep enough money in your pocket to cover your costs and taxes, so you don't go under in less than a year lol.
People will come and post content for you if they know you're going to be splitting revenue with them. The more of an authority you become, the more bloggers and writers will come to you and request to post content for "free". Sure, this sort of costs you money, but it's not money you currently have and the only reason you will be profiting is because of the bloggers posting for free. Think of it this way, you wouldn't have all the traffic coming in if you didn't have some dedicated bloggers and writers dedicating their time to your website or blog.
Offer writers your own services for free
This is something that is specific to digital services and some physical services. If you're selling products on your website, you can't really give away something and not spend anything for it. eCommerce websites usually can't do this, unless you have an agreement with a manufacturer (or you're the manufacturer) and you can get a very good deal on a product so you don't break the bank by giving something away to your writers.
I like offering free SEO services to my writers who dedicate themselves to me because it doesn't usually cost me any money to do it. I've been doing SEO and online marketing for 15+ years so I've got the knowledge behind my claims lol. If my writers post a certain amount of times each month, they qualify for free services. If they don't post enough, I don't give them a free service, but I will pro-rate my pricing based on how many quality posts they wrote up for that month.
In Conclusion
There are plenty of ways to generate free content for your website that is high quality, not just the few I mentioned above. Finding these types of bloggers and writers isn't even that difficult, just post to some facebook groups or go on some blogging networks and make friends with the staff
There are a lot of bloggers out there that want to get the word out about their own blogs and websites, so they will likely help you out if the juice is worth the squeeze
