If you can think of somehow to get them a file that has your URL within it, you will likely get some clicks to your website. You can also add into your music, near the end, a verbal URL so that people will hear your website and possibly go to it.

Anywhere you can, you should be posting a link to your website so that your listeners will be able to click through to your website. Don't worry about if your links are nofollow or dofollow, just get them on your profile and wherever you can so you can get some traffic to your site. Obviously, you don't want to spam them wherever possible, be sure to follow the rules when you're posting.

You can even go to music related forums and build up a profile by posting loads of quality content all the while having a signature link aimed at your SoundCloud profile in order to push traffic to it and get noticed a little more. When you're posting on the forums, be sure to just add content and don't link directly within the comment you're posting. This way you will gain credibility within the forum and you will not be breaking any rules by having your hyper link in the signature of each post What target market industry are the leads? Of course, if someone is asking for EDM music on SoundCloud and asking for links, you can post yours and hopefully it won't get removed. This isn't really spamming because they are asking for your link, you're just sharing it for them (and anyone else who stumbles upon your comment lol).

Optimize everything you can. You should be optimizing your titles, descriptions, header tags (if possible), and anything else you can edit. Doing this will help you get ranked within the search engines for specific keywords and you will notice a nice stream of traffic coming in. If you're not optimizing your website, you're already losing to your competition What target market industry are the leads?

Add loads of content to your website in order to be gifted traffic from the search engines. The amount of traffic you can get is hard to estimate, but you can get a trickle or a flood resulting in a lot of listens and downloads What target market industry are the leads? Optimize your content as well, but be sure to stay within the guidelines set by Google so that you don't get any sort of penalty.

Hopefully that helps you out a little bit What target market industry are the leads?

Adding new contents to the website is one of the best SEO methods for me because I subscribe to the logic that a website is created for the contents so if there is no new content then the website is considered stagnant that search engines will bypass it for consideration to the search list. The frequent uploading of new and quality contents will assure your site of traffic from search engines.

Let's take a look in the context of your market. You are into EDM industry. This is 20 year old industry and it has some of the millinials and gen Y people. So you should target folks from 15 to 45 as of now. And they can be both male and females and other gender. So you can see this gives you more broad approach to where to target. Though it can be harder on which country and the place has more EDM users. So that is something you have to experiment and find out. Usually the places where you can see most of the clubs are the right places to play those leads.

While there isn't much info to go on, here is my input:

Electronic Dance Music is primary listened to by younger generations. These generations are usually under 35 (but more so listened to those ages 30 and younger, primarily for people in their early 20s). These generations usually go to clubs, pubs, or whatever their preferences is to go and have fun. People love to party. In fact, I am actually on vacation right now and the clubs I go to (there are many, because this little town is like party central -- everyone wants some of profit) all play Electronic Dance Music along with serving alcohol and live entertainment, whether it be dancers or singing.

The only place I listen to Electronic Dance Music is at such clubs. So how exactly would you get me to listen to your music outside of a bar, club, or other avenue? You wanna know how? Advertising.

Be very careful picking your target audience. Pay close attention to how your target dresses, interacts, what their likes and dislikes are, etc. You should go to a club that plays Electronic Dance Music and hand out cards and such, especially chat with the DJ if you can and maybe work out something.

I think you have excellent advice here and not something that the average user would take into perspective. I just think that you can get great ideas on this site. Many people who have been there in the business are your best source of information and can help you quite a bit I find.

Basically musicians just have to network. They must go out and make friends with people already in the industry. This is very true for basically all industries. Without networking, you probably won't get too far because your knowledge and experience won't grow. I like the saying "fake it til you make it." This is what I do sometimes, even though I have no idea what i am doing, i will fake it til i make it, and eventually will become an expert at whatever it is that i am doing.

Right, this can go a long way with most things. However, you may run the risk at times of being accused of "not knowing what you are talking about" I don't me you personally, but other people who take that posture. I think taking the time to educate yourself always pays off.

When you "fake it til you make it", you're definiitely gaining knowledge.

You should just offer them something extra when they click the link towards the destination of your choice such as free content. If you are an EDM producer then you could just advertise your site on Soundcloud and let the fans know that if they need certain samples then they can download them from your site. You could also maybe provide some unreleased songs that you'll only provide through your website and if they believe in your talents enough then they will be convinced to go to your site and check out the extra content.

Maybe what you mean is to get traffic from users who are related to your link? I guess you don’t have to worry about that because the mere fact that users are getting in, that means they are related to your niche. And if you want more then probably you need to advertise on sites that are directly related to your niche. The best bet is to try getting a published guest blog on a popular blogger’s site to promote your business.
