Benefits Of Using Reddit

A lot of people these day's are using Reddit, this is a huge social bookmarking website. As you will also notice when you search for some keywords on Google not all the time but I have seen a lot of rankings as well are on Reddit. Not everyone may agree with me but I do see the benefits of using Reddit.

So What Can You Get From Reddit
Benefits Of Using Reddit

As I said Reddit is a huge social bookmarking website, and it is becoming even more popular. Yeah, sure Facebook is great as well great groups and pages and chat with friends and family even play candy crush right lol. I have been using Reddit daily for a good while now and at first, it did take me a while to get to know it and the challenges I faced. But, it was worth it in the end.

Reddit allows you to share information on their site, Sure you can share links but be very careful how you do this. If you use the site correctly you can drive a lot of traffic to your sites and a lot of traffic. Important, before you start submitting links it is very important that you try be apart of the community first or otherwise you may be classed as a spammer. Reddit is filled with unique pages called subreddits so if you love cars or have blogs on cars then you can go on popular subreddit pages called cars. Try and join there subreddit by subscribing and joining in conversations which is valuable. This is just an example, it could be SEO as there is a big subreddit on SEO, or Horror to even Paranormal.

Once you are contributing you will notice you earn karma for commenting or submitting to these Reddit pages. This is to show your rep. Once you been there for little while building your "Rep" then every now and then submit one of your links/articles into the right subreddit tho. If you're into marketing you don't want to be submitting it into anything put the marketing Subreddit. Once you have submitted the great thing about Reddit well sometimes can be a bad thing as well, but members who like your information can upvote you. The more upvotes you get the more chance you may likely appear on the front page of Reddit so just imagine being on the front page you will get a Unique amount of traffic. Getting downvoted is never good in my eyes, so try share things in the right place and with the right information which others may find useful.bad thing as well, but members who like your information can upvote you. The more upvotes you get the more chance you may likely appear on the front page of Reddit so just imagine being on the front page you will get a Unique amount of traffic. Getting downvoted is never good in my eyes, so try share things in the right place and with the right information which others may find useful.

Also, Once you have a good amount of Karma you can create your own Subreddit page like you see with the top Redditors.

Reddit is definitely worth checking out and investing your time into it for extra traffic. I have tried it myself but didn't have too much success, however, there are tricks and ways of actually ranking your keywords through Reddit pretty easily. I have read some guide a while ago but I didn't give it a test yet. I personally still prefer Facebook but Reddit has a lot of untapped potential Benefits Of Using Reddit thank you for the explanation!

I have actually read in one post that Reddit isn't worth wasting time on, but with this current post now I'm confused on which to believe as I haven't used Reddit before. I'm more disposed with Facebook usage, maybe I would have to research on Reddit and be fully aware on what it has to offer.

Thanks for posting this. I have not looked into Reddit much but I know it is popular. Your post seems to put everything succintly so you know what you will get if you choose to look into reddit. It seems like a very good thing to take advantage of. Extra traffic can be used by all that is for sure.

I have been trying with Reddit for my site but I'm not seeing the expected result, maybe there's something I'm not doing right because people all the time talking about having huge traffic from it which I'm yet to accomplish that. Thanks for the piece. It quite insightful.

I know a lot of people say that it is good for traffic but I just don't think Reddit is that good for that purpose. I don't really use Reddit for business purposes and tend to just use it as a platform and website to relax on and talk to other people that have the same interests as me. I think other people probably use it for the same purpose as me. I just don't see too many people visiting business links on it unless you can find a subreddit for that exact purpose.

Reddit is great. I don't really use it for business purposes or promotion. I like to use it as a community where I can just post, discuss things and relax after a hard days work. It is a great place to relax once you find some communities that you enjoy being a part of. At the moment I am only really active on two communities and I am having a great time.

I use Reddit in a very similar fashion. It's a great platform to find communities based around things you're passionate about, and find people with similar interests to yourself. I don't use it for business purposes, but rather to spend time with other people who share my passions for video and photography.

I tried reddit for my hubpages hubs, did helped a bit but I cannot use the same reddit for the same account for the second time on the same day. It seems that I could only submit one url site per day

I do believe that after you obtain some karma you can post a lot more frequently. Obviously, it is important that you do not spam your website too much all over Reddit otherwise you may get banned or your karma may go down as well. To increase your karma, all you have to do is post useful links or posts that people will enjoy and like to read.

Reddit is one of the biggest social networking & news sharing website
Reddit is very powerful. There are few techniques you can follow:

1. Post in the right category. You can find the right category by serching your topic at the "edit" buttton at the top.

2. Must read the guideline before sharing in any subreddit

3. Don't just post links always, post some self posts

4. Don't be hurry. First build your profile with good Karmas!

I have tried promoting the youtube videos and some of my blog posts. But it seems like the reddit has lot of trolls. And they often downvote for sure. So it'd be reasonable to say that reddit can be one good option for those who are trying to develop content marketing plan. I think reddit is good for blog posts and for sharing something that you want to make viral.

But usually you have to be careful and not to spam. because there are lot of spam and people downvote stuff and take out the comment and link karma. So it's better to be safe on that side.

I absolutely love Reddit and I've been using it for several years now. There is an incredible amount of content on there, and it can be dangerously addicting. Once you start sifting through everything it can be pretty tempting to just sit there the whole day and not get anything productive done! Using it to promote your stuff can be a little tricky though. You have to be strategic about it as Redditors don't take too kindly to blatant self promotion, at least from what I've noticed. You also have to get your timing right, as if you upload at an awkward time your posts might not even get any views, no matter how good they may be.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Authord
Yeah, you're right, you need timings and knowing the time you targeted audience are always online is an added bonus, in terms of generating traffic to your post, with the aim of getting them to visit your links.
So it is recommended to know and monitor the time of activity.

I used Reddit but I don't see any benefits from using it.
No traffic to my site from Reddit while links from Reddit are nofollow
so I think it is a waste of time and efforts if you are going to promote somethings on Reddit.

I'm sorry, but... Did you really study the platform before you started using it? Sometimes it's all a matter of paying more attention / studying more everything it can offer users.

I already failed when I tried to use it, but I had a good percentage of fault in the failure of the project.

I am on reddit for 6 years now. And I don't have much traffic from it. Most of the YouTube videos usually don't even get upvote or checked. Also people are pedantic when it comes to commenting. So I don't see much value reddit may offer though. They also use adblcokers. I have seen that people don't really get into the ads and other stuff there.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

When it comes to commenting on others' work on YouTube I have to agree that people are really - at least most of them - pretty lazy about it. In the end, it's a very discouraging situation (especially for those who are starting in this "world").

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes. And the reddit not really a credible source for information. Lot of bad advice. And also lot of people purely trolling there. And it seems like an option for people who are spending their money the wrong way. I think youtube traffic is similar but atleast it views the ads these days. But in case of reddit it kind of just waste of effort to me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Over time, unfortunately this issue of credibility has greatly affected the image of Reddit because things really seem to be getting out of control and this is very sad thing to see because the tool is very good (it seems that some people have a particular kind of pleasure in doing so).

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes. Lot of trolls. Lot of communism. And a lot of anti religion sentiments. So surley one can see that over a period of time the reddit is not maturing. One has to clearly see how the social network such as that is getting out of hand. I am hoping that in years to come things can be improved.Hope in future reddit has some mature users posting the content.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

wiseagent
I have to agree with you.

Unfortunately, the problem is not with the tool is with which decides to use it. Let's wait and see what the future holds for us (regarding the change in the habits of these trolls) and meanwhile... Let's do our part. Benefits Of Using Reddit

I think if you are still choosing to be with reddit and their system. In such case paid discussion and the paid discovery option from the reddit may help. As they have used that tool on many points. So that does help to some extent. But I am guessing you have to learn which subreddit to target. Hopefully we can learn as we go.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

It all depends itommy on what you are promoting and also on which subreddit. I have gained some exposure on there. But, its all about doing a bit of research a bit of digging what is liked and not liked on there. So if your blogging for example about top strategies in SEO, for example, you would have to go on the reddit.com/r/SEO but also read there rules some don't like people who post there blogs some do. And if they do then you should scroll through some stuff on the particular subreddit to see whats upvoted mostly. Then work your strategy around that, and make a blog post about something related to the subreddit and what you can offer and importantly something interesting with a great title. But also, the content as to be great on your site otherwise on a place like Reddit the comments will be bad.

Reddit is useful for many things, but I'm not sure marketing is one of them. You are very limited in where you can market and it's not a place aimed towards marketing. It's aimed towards social interaction and conversations about a topic. Unless you just happened to bring it up in a conversation there, I don't really see this working out. In my opinion, Facebook is much better for marketing. Reddit will most likely mark your posts as spam. There's a culture there that doesn't take kindly to people posting for karma.

Although I didn't get much success by the time I decided to use it (because I acknowledge that I didn't try hard enough for this to happen), I still think Reddit is a great tool to get an extra traffic.

However, I advise everyone to study the platform before start using it so that you can take more advantage of the benefits it offers. Benefits Of Using Reddit

Nice tips.
I have been thinking about that though and you just cleared and explained everything well, that's very nice information for me, because I have learned some new strategy and how to implement it. Although I have been thinking about this, but I don't think I would have done it the right way, like you clearly stated. Thanks.

Everybody always talks about Reddit but I have never had any success with that site. Also, I have an ethical problem with that site because I heard that they circulated nude photos of a celebrity without her permission. If that's true, I would rather not use them. But I have tried several times to create an account and use them. Of a truth, I don't really see where they are all that. But if you like them, then use them. Enjoy!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Regarding the nude things, I think it was that people on the site posted the pictures because they were leaked on another site. Reddit is not responsible for this so I wouldn't not use them because of that. Just because someone killed someone and posted a picture on Facebook, does that make Facebook responsible for that? Of course not.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cmoneyspinner
Thanks for clarifying. The reports or rather the "gossip" - now that you tell me the reports were wrong - was that Reddit was the responsible site for leaking the photos and had done so without proper permission from the photo owner. Now that you've clarified it, that misunderstanding is out of the way. But I'm still left with the fact that I just can't seem to get the hang of Reddit. (O.o) Some sites I catch on to and learn how to navigate and move around right away. For some reason, I always feel like I'm fumbling in the dark on Reddit. I might as well be Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder! I'm blind on that site! Benefits Of Using Reddit So I've given up completely. Reddit will have to carry on without me. Benefits Of Using Reddit

Well so far Reddit is going very well for me there is some good members on there and some who just have no respect. But, that is social media for you there are always a few trolls out there. But if you can be a good contributor on Reddit it will work out good for you. As building the Karma posts for what you post and comment karma for the comments you make. I have made a good few friends on there and if you can find your niche on there and don't just start posting your link contribute first. Then creating a similar Subreddit and ask the other subreddit you contribute on to put your Subreddit in their page sidebar. It works out just grand as this is what I did. I spent time making friends instead of enemies I didn't start submitting my link lol. I worked around it as a community first and helping others. Now, since I created many subreddits, I do have some in my niche and a friends sidebar which brings me traffic.

Incredible the differences in user experiences for Reddit.

Nevertheless, I received this information via eMail. Reddit is Number 14 on a list of The 15 Most Influential Websites of All Time. (http://time.com/4960202/most-influential-websites/)

Online forums have been around since the Internet's inception, so in that sense, Reddit's just the modern face of what began as dial-up discussion boards. But Reddit, which arrived in 2005, also folds in social news curation, making it a combination story-and-reaction hub. That notion of melding interesting, obscure or hot-button topics with fan communities has proven so popular that it's lured hundreds of millions of users who generate tens of billions of page views annually, giving rise to a site slogan that plausibly reads "The front page of the internet."

I use reddit a lot. It's a fun place to share thoughts and also find funny and entertaining stuff. I have a decent amount of karma which allows me to post in numerous subreddits. I've posted links to my websites in various places on reddit. Some have been downvoted to oblivion while others have been up voted to the front page. Those that have been up voted to the front page has received a decent amount of traffic for a maximum of 4 days. The traffic starts going down on the 2nd or third day but posts that reach the front page still get a decent amount of traffic.

Reddit is useful if you need a quick boost to your traffic stats. Just make sure to share interesting and/or informative stuff and place them in the correct subreddit to get optimal results.

The benefits of using Reddit are diverse. Reddit is a social media platform that has hundreds of images and videos uploaded. Aside from writing contents, Google and other search engines love images and videos once they are related to the products. Publishing a block of texts without attaching images and videos may never work out as far as getting traffic is concerned. Google owns the largest traffic that comes to any website. Using Reddit can help you get tons of traffic on a daily basis.

Thanks for the information and mini -tutorial on how to use Reddit. I don't really know anything about it. I check the site once in a while, especially when I am looking for information on how to make money online. In recent months I have seen many people mention that it's a good site, and it can help you to get more traffic. They are also many videos on Youtube on how to do this. Because of your emphasis, I think I will check them out.

Reddit is worthy to use. Sometime it'll take too much time to rank your site but using reddit you can get the huge amount of traffic instantly. Yes there are many techniques you can apply. Overall Reddit is a good place to promote your site.

I've heard alot about Reddit. I've not joined it but I have read some comments that come from there.Normally before I join a site I read the review from Reddit. What I have noticed is that comments there are very well throughout. This is not an easy site to navigate if you provide no value. As the commentary says, become part of the community, learn how it works and then use it for traffic. This is not a site where you will simply be able to leave your links and move on and expect them to be followed. You must provide value. A quote I read today says sell the solution not the product. I agree.

I know of many freelancers who are using Reddit for a bookmarking site. But they say that you have to be careful in posting because there are rules to follow. You cannot just join the site and post in wild abandon because doing that anywhere is tantamount to spamming that you can be banned from entering the site. If you play your cards right then posting in Reddit will be very beneficial to you.
