Use free images or own images for your blog or website

Whether I am writing for other writing online sites or my own blogs, I usually have the habit of using my own images that I had taken photos with my smartphone, Lenovo S860. I prefer to take pictures of my recipes, things , surroundings, scenery and pets for my blog. Sometimes, I do use free images from Pixabay or Wikipedia too.

Which website that allows you to use free images?

I have a couple large royalty free image packs I purchase a while back that I tend to use. I also create a lot of our images using our in house image editor/creator. Planning to make the image creator available for purchase later this year.

I use a site called Unsplash who have a lot of high-resolution images for use for free. You can find it over here (https://unsplash.com/). I think using your own images is quite good especially if you are writing recipes for your blog. I think people will definitely appreciate images of the food that you made rather than some stock image of the recipes. I have used Pixabay before as well although for me Unsplash has better quality images.

One of my favorite options is to use Google Images, actually. I work at a university, so usage rights and copyright are a huge consideration when it comes to finding photos for graphics designs or videos here. But Google makes it easy to find the right images for us to use!

If you search for what you want on Google Images, such as "cute dogs" for a blog post of yours, you can got to the menu bar beneath the search bar, click the "Tools" option, and then click on "usage rights" and select "labeled for reuse". This will only show pictures that are labeled as legal for your to reuse for whatever project you would like. You could also refine your search differently with "labeled for noncommercial reuse" if you're planning on the use the photo in a noncommercial way.

I am creating a gaming blog at the moment so when you said Google Images was one of your favourites, I tried it out for a bit. I searched a few keywords and it just seems that there just isn't as many images available for reuse. Maybe it is because that a lot of images just haven't been tagged at all but I personally just don't think it is the best options.

It is good that there are free sites that provide images. I know of several bloggers who are always having a problem in searching for images that they can add to their blogs. I have advised them to bring a camera whenever they go out of the house so they can start developing the folder of images in their archive. We have countless of photos in our archive that I don’t have a problem in using images for my posting.

I always use my own images because it makes it more personal. There is nothing worse then going to a website or blog and seeing the same image on the last 50 websites you visited. And believe it or not that happens a lot. And having your own images is also what separates animatur blog from a pro blog.

I almost never use my own pictures for my articles or websites. I just don't take pictures that would fit there so there is no reason to.

Instead, I only use the free images that you find on the internet. I can't say that I use any specific websites but I rather just type whatever I am looking for in Google and go to the images tab. You can find all sorts of pictures there and you can put even more specific filters and so on. I feel like it is the best and easiest way to find nice images.

We have a big archive of photos and videos from our digital camera aside from the pictures and videos in the gallery of my phone. When an image is necessary or relevant in the article, I always use our own image. Maybe it's okay to avail of the free images in the internet but since I have my own images, why not use it? Exposing our pictures in using it in posting is one way of expression. Besides, isn't it cute to see your own picture in a particular site?

Hay! If you have started a real personal blog than a picture adds more realism and professionalism. Most of the successful blogs have original pictures of authors, co-founder and even, the guest bloggers. Undoubtedly, a profile picture helps your blog to stand out among others however there are few popular blogs who do not have a real picture but a connecting profile. It completely depends on you.

I usually take photos with my camera wherever I go and I can say that I have a large collection. I prefer to use my own photos. It may happen that I can't really find a good picture explaining the topic at times and in those cases I use pictures from pixabay too.

I try to use my images taken with my phone camera because it helps to rank our blog high on Google search engine.

But if I can't find any pics that will really depict the title or topic,I use the pic on the internet.

But it always good to use one's own images than lifting from the Internet.

I am suing pixabay and unsplash for some time. And they prove to be some of the good images for me. I have not much invested into the content part of it. But it seems like a good source for website and blogging. I am not sure if some of the images these days have creative commons zero. But pixabay and unsplash mention that part on their site. But so far I am thinking that these sites are good enough in many ways.

Well, it all depends on the situation at hand, or the purpose of the image in question. When it comes to images, I usually search up on google for random images relating to what I want to portray, i use free images most times, because I usually edit my images and I add special filters and cartoon effect to it, you won't actually know i got it from somewhere.
But in most cases, I create my own images, depending, if the need arises, and I do have an archive where I store images i take during vacations or tours.

I use a combination of my own and google image for my blog. I am always hoping I am not violating some sort of copyright law when I am doing this, but I feel like it is my right to use some of the content images I find on google. There is nothing saying the images are protected so hopefully I am doing nothing wrong by using a few!

I use my own images or free images from image sharing site. I give more preference to my own images, however, sometimes it is not possible to use your own image (it may be of low quality, or you may not have an appropriate image for your content). When I am using free images, I always check the license, As long as the image contents creative common license, I will be using with my contents. I never use copyrighted images.

To be honest, I mainly use Google Images for my photos that I include within the content of my articles. I don't always have the rights to these images. However, I always make sure to credit the specific source of that image itself. Especially when that content surrounding the image is being monetized as well (such as adding affiliate links). Because I've been so cautious, I thankfully haven't come across any violations or roadblocks as of yet. Though it is a fine line to walk.

I love taking pictures to use on my articles, sadly recently my phone broke and I haven't buy another one so I've been taking free images from google. I do use the source once I know which one it is. Using original photos can really make a difference and make your content more likeable and original... The thing I do and I don't enjoy that much is repeating my own images, the one I had taken myself, if the article is related.

I often use image results in Google searches right away but this post gave me the idea that it is much better to use personally taken photos as people can be intrigued by the uniqueness of one photo and click which site it came from. It somehow helps with the traffic too as I believe. I suggest using your own photos as they are beneficial in the long run!
