Android 7.1 Nougat Operating System

This is the operating system that my ordered phonewill be having. I researched on it and I get a bit confused of whatthe features are because I am not a techie person. My present phone is Samsung Galaxy Core GT 18262 andits OS is simply Android. Now its Android 7.1 Nougat and it sounds socomplicated to me, thus the research. Actually, I am amazed that the Android operatingsystems are all like candy sounding ,Nougat , Marsmallow, Lollipop and Jelly Bean. Oh my! But somehow, I know that this Android 7.1 Nougat is arefinement of Marshmallow as it is said. What impressed me much is that one doesn’t have toinstall the apps they want because it will be made available whenever you will
have to use it.That’s good, because installing lots of apps slowsdown my old phone or maybe any Androidphone. Well, I don’t have to go to the other features ofNougat because you can search for it on the net. So, what’s the OS of your Android phone?

What is its feature you like best?

I recently removed MIUI and installed LineAgeOS. So I have now Nougat 7.1 on my Android phone. And it seems to be simple yet usable. The best feature in my opinion is the split screen. Here you can use two apps at the same time. And the best even better part is how you can get the most out of the slow scrolling screenshot. But it's kind of hard to take screenshot from what I have seen though. MIUI has better options on that. I wish the future version of the screenshot gets included in the top navigation slider drawer there.

So, one can change the OS of an Android phone according to what one like. You are a techie person to be able to do that.
I won't dare do it myself if ever. I will just let our IT officer do it for me if ever again.
Yes, i also read of that split screen indeed. I think , i have a lot to learn how to do this and that when my J7 Pro arrives.
By the way, i was surprised that this post was approved and published already. But I wonder why some words get connected with another word when this post came out? How can i edit it please?

Yes you can change. You have to root your phone. And then do backup and then install new ROM. I did this and changed from MIUI to LineAgeOS. Not much techhie stuff into this but you need to be careful on flashing and root part. Rest is simple as installing windows on laptop. You can take help of the mobile shop nearby. They can do this if your phone is old and you don't mind messing with that old device.

Thank you for this advise. But when it comes to things like that, I really have no idea and can't understand much how to go about it. ha ha ha

I just would ask the assistance of someone knowledgeable on this and give him a fee for it.

Though, I always don't change whatever is in my phone that I think I would make a mess of. ha ha ha

Yes in that case it's better to take help from the people who know stuff. About your another query. Yes it seems like the thread is approved. Most of the technical threads are approved here. So yours being Android phone related got approval. You can also ask questions on website building or so and I am sure that will be approved too.

I am also using the 7.1 Nougat OS and I'm loving it. I always just let my phone auto update after around a week so all of the bugs are fixed and it's better optimized.

Honestly, don't be scared. I know that all of the technical information can feel a bit overwhelming at first especially if you don't know what it means but Nougat is a high-quality OS and it should give you everything you possibly need. Every time they release the newer version of Android, it is better and more powerful. My favorite feature is the fingerprint swipe addition Android 7.1 Nougat Operating System

I am excited with that fingerprint swipe. Is that in lieu of the password before you can open the cellphone?

The most significant Android 7.1.2 feature change came for the Pixel C, which inherited the Pixel Launcher from the smartphone line and got a whole new multitasking view added as well. The new recent apps overview shows small tiles arranged in a grid pattern as opposed to the more familiar card stack.
You’ll only be able to see eight apps at a time and for now you can’t even swipe them away, but it’s a solid start. The Pixel C also
gets the new solid nav buttons found on the Pixel phones and you can
simply swipe up on the home screen to open the app drawer.
In a slightly weird twist, Android 7.1.2 also allowed some users – but not all – to choose where to install live wallpapers. Non-Pixel devices can install the Wallpapers app to replicate the
functionality of the Pixel wallpaper picker, which brings with it a slew
of nice new wallpapers and the ability to choose whether a wallpaper
should be applied to the home screen, lock screen or both.

Oh, you sound so techie with all those that you are telling me. Android 7.1 Nougat Operating System
I suppose you have that OS that's why you are so adept with its feature already.
Will the Android 7.10 Nougat be having that feature of the live wallpaper?
But live wallpaper can be battery consuming though.

The only thing I hate about these android software updates is the amount of bloatwares that it carries along with it. Like seriously, I have 2gb of RAM of my phone and when I use the latest update, it leaves me with 700mb+ of RAM? Jeez. Don't need those hogs lurking inside my phone and I don't even use them. That's why ever since I had my first android phone, I began to learn how to modify system files a.k.a rooting your phone. Now, my 2gb RAM has a usable of 1.5gb free ram. Please bear with me new to some words like bloatwares. What are those?
I am a simple user of my cellphone. In fact, I didn't get to use some of its feature.
But with my ordered cellphone, I will try to learn whatever features it may offer.
I suppose I can just ask you, my techie fellow members here, when that happens.
See, I saw you use an emoji. Where did you get that from here? Android 7.1 Nougat Operating System

I'm still on Android 6.0 because Samsung haven't bothered to release the Nougat update for my phone yet. They did say that they were already done making the OS compatible with my phone and they are done with the update but there hasn't been any update regarding them releasing the update yet. I'm not too bothered to be fair because there aren't any massive features that will come with the Nougat update and 6.0 is not too bad either.

So you mean even if your Samsung isn't the newest released phone, one can ask that their OS be upgraded, like yours 6.0 to 7.0?

Well, I guess your Nougat 6.0 OS has some very little difference than the Nougat 7.0 .

Have you researched what are the features in 7.0 not in your 6.0 ?

My phone does not have a sophisticated processor but I like it anyway. I don't see myself getting a new and fancy Android phone anytime soon. I am pretty happy with what I have and it works for me. So, I see no real reason to change.

Yes, if your phone has already met your specifications and usage, then there's no need for a new Android phone anymore.

I just ordered a new one because I renewed my contract with the phone service provider and that comes with a free phone. Though, I would like a phone not in their list of free phones for that bracket, so I have to pay some additional amount.

Me too. But most seem to need a change once they get old. Our phones are dependent on operating systems. And each device has a limit to how well it can function as years go by. Many tech experts have noted that older devices and operating systems become slower the older they become.

The last Andriod that I used had the Andriod 5.0 operating system and at a point, it made the battery not to be lasting that much again. I have since dropped that and I am hoping to buy an Itel device that has this particular Andriod 7.1 operating system that you mentioned. I'm quite hopeful that it will serve me well.

I'm sure it will. Most operating systems have improved performance over the previous ones. It seems that they're also focusing on improving performance while using less of the battery. It's an ongoing feature among android OS.

I have the Samsung J7 January released model. It currently has Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow installed. I should have already upgraded to android 7.0 and already Android 8.0 Oreo is out! I'll take it one step at a time. Can't be too hasty in the Android candy shop, hehe. I look forward to the upgrades and will report any side effects should I encounter any of them.

I was also amazed when I found out that they all have dessert names. It's very attractive for customers. Did you also notice that each release is named in alphabetical order? Like how Jellybean, Kit-kat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, and Nougat are in order. They're very meticulous with the details.
