My New Method To Drive Traffic To Your WordPress Blog

Need More Traffic To Your WordPress Site?

Hello clerkers how are we today, I want to talk to you about a new method I am using and it works. Many of you are most likely using WordPress am I right, well this only works with WordPress. This may sound a strange way to get a ton of traffic but it truly works before I even tried it I doubted it but it worked for me.

Now you may have been on social media sites like Facebook which am sure just about everyone is either on Facebook who has used Facebook. You may have seen sites like Buzzfeed on there and other well-known sites posting quizzes, Trivia or even another quiz like which character are you. Well, these type of quizzes which are linked to these sites gets a lot of traffic due to the fact on interests and reshares. You all seen it when someone posts a quiz saying I scored 10 see if you can beat me. This is how they get the traffic they have a quiz on their site which members do because of its "fun". They then share it then their friends do the quiz then they share it the list goes on!

So whats this got to do with us getting traffic?

Well if you liked all the above you can actually do the same thing, We as bloggers using WordPress can have this success. So if any of you like the sound of this below I will show a video about this plugin and also tell you how to install it.

The plugin is called WP-Quiz it is an awesome plugin which I do think is brilliant. So go on WordPress go to Plugins and then Add New plugin, search for WP Quiz it should be the first result. Now install it and activate it, it is a free plugin with options for pro but I just use the free version. They also if you watch the video show you to test it you can import a demo quiz. This is also a good video as it learns you how to set up a quiz.

One more thing not sure if it's with the same as anyone else but when I used it I did have only one problem. When you did and saved the quiz and test it the link did not work. So what I did was when you create a quiz you will notice under your quiz title you made it will show you short code like : [quiz-23] something like that. I made a new post on my WordPress and just added the code and published it oh I made a title as well on my post. If you use Yoast which I do add a little bit of content before or after the code.

Hope this helps enjoy the video, please let me know if you use it.

Hey! Thanks for this suggestion! I've long been using wp-quiz. I have a teaching job during the day. I create quizzes applicable for my subjects and require my students to answer the quizzes.

I haven't thought of making quizzes like those given at Buzzfeed! You're right that wp pro quiz allows us Web masters to easily create interesting quizzes!

The challenge now is what interesting quizzes would I give? The possibilities are endless!

I think that quiz is one engaging activity because there are users I know who are fond of taking a quiz to test their knowledge. In the earlier years of the mobile phone, one telco here has the gimmick of sending subscribers a question that when the subscriber replies with an answer, the telco would again send another question as if the user is taking a quiz. So many were fooled by that quiz. They did not notice that they were spending for the text that they were sending back.

Good tips. I guess it would really help Wordpress users gain additional traffic to their sites. I never thought of this before until you shared this on this site. Is that a free plug-in?

Yes, it is a free plugin, there are options for pro upgrade but only optional. I use the free version and no problems what so all.

Wow, that's actually really clever. I never thought of it myself. It's true that people absolutely love things like quizzes and trivia's, even if they're about nothing in particular. So using this idea and applying it to the WordPress blog is brilliant! It will definitely work because it's interactive and engaging - that's what the visitors and readers like.

Thank you for presenting a really good alternative to the more common and well-known methods of acquiring traffic.

While the method is nothing new, I like that you posted it here. However, if I scroll down my own facebook feed it appears there is a lot of this going on. At some point, people will become tired of the quiz-like posts. So you will need to find other methods. This method would work great if your site was entirely based upon quizzes but if it is not you would need to use other methods to capture traffic to your website.

I tend to look at people while they are on their phones, and I am very nosey. What I have learned and experienced is that people will scroll past an advertisement like 'Look what she looks like now 10 years later!', and then it may appear again and the person will click on it. I believe this is all psychology. Advertisements are psychological so keep this in mind when thinking of new ways to target people to get them to go on to your website.

This looks like a good option. Anyone who wants to get traffic to specific pages can make use of this method. I am sure there are some people who make use of the forum for this. I am guessing that it can be useful for those type of users as well. I am sure with enough links one can get the backlinks required for the traffic. You may want to see how that one goes there with wordpress.

Another good avenue to drive traffic to my blog, I love the idea but it looks a short-lived area because readers get bored easily.
They prefer the idea of a give-away.
will try this and see how it goes.

But it will attract new readers all the time and that is what you want, yeah maybe you want them to keep coming back which you can do a different quiz or flip card quiz and much more. But also it is a good idea to not just get the same readers back for more each time but also new readers.

I have never used WP Quiz plugin even though all of my websites have wordpress as CMS. I think it is a good idea to generate traffic. I see a lot of people participating on quiz on facebook, if we have this features on our wordpress site, that can attract people who are interested in participating on quiz.

It's not suitable for all the type of the blogs and niche. Some blogs may let you easily integrate with the niche. But some of the blogs require more effort for this traffic to convert. I think some blogs are easy in that case. They just need proper topic and then things can pretty much convert for them. I have found out that you can also use some sort of survey instead of the quiz.

I've discovered that there are similar options available for blogs which don't use WordPress and I'm itching to try creating a quiz. Unfortunately I don't think a quiz will really fit in to my blog so I'll probably have to start another one in a different niche first. That's something I've been wanting to do for a long time anyway because my current blog is more a labour of love than something that will ever earn me a living.

In my opinion, you still could create one in any niche like have it as ask questions? depending on different niches.
Create questions which involve your topic, its just a thought.

I've been racking my brain trying to think how I can do it in my current niche. The problem is that my blog is about bonsai, based primarily on the things I do to my trees. Any quiz I created would have to be more about bonsai trees in general and would probably require quite a lot of research. And it's a small niche so it probably wouldn't attract enough attention to make it worth the effort.

There are quite a few bonsai tree groups on Facebook, so what you could do is use google search. Search for bonsai tree quiz which I noticed there are a few. Don't nick there questions but get an idea from them.

Then join few Facebook groups, and once made a quiz post your link into these groups. You be surprised on the feed back. Just an idea My New Method To Drive Traffic To Your WordPress Blog

Thanks. Some of those quizzes are interesting and quite difficult too. I guess I'll have to start thinking about some questions of my own.

I'm new to blogging with WordPress and I have to say this is a very brilliant idea. People easily get on the bandwagon when they see some of their friends share results from the quiz! This could help in boosting website traffic.

If you are new then this may not be a good method. Considering that it requires the blog to have some content. Also you need to have good design for this method to work. So depending on how you work out with that changes things. I think each to their own. I am not sure that this method would work on all the niches though. but yeah worth giving a try.

Lol, nice info tho, but i think this is just for a short levered number of time, because i think they will easily get bored out. and this is not for beginners, it's for +average word press bloggers.
The only way to get quality and organic traffic and keep them in check to your blog is good and quality quantity, with added spices like social media support and Ads placing.

I have seen this WordPress Quiz plugin at sites and have not tried it. But I think you're on to something because I just joined a community and the members publish lots of quizzes and participate in lots of quizzes. Quizzes are fun!

it's awesome that one can use wp-quiz to drive traffic to the blogs. I mean that I have not been taken note of this for a long time and that might have been the reason that my blog has had an issue with generating traffic expected of the contents that put out on it every passing day. Thank you for the heads up for I would be implementing this tip soon.

Maybe that WP-Quiz is what’s being used by some of my friends in social media. I have been seeing quizzes and puzzles on my timeline that were posted by my Facebook friends. To be honest, I don’t understand how those quizzes can give traffic to the websites but I am guessing that they do because the quizzes persist until now. But I know that when an item posted in the social media is interesting then it has the tendency to be shared and may become viral.
