3 alternative methods to creating income from YouTube without Adsense

When it comes to making money from YouTube, you can actually become rich, but it does take a lot of time and effort to do so. The downside of all the YouTube eBooks and marketing methods is that they only show you how to implement adsense. This is good and all because YouTube is owned by Google who owns Adsense. These two systems, YouTube and Adsense, pair together very well but that's not the only way to make money off of YouTube. When someone starts out posting videos to YouTube in hopes to make some money from a few clicks here and there, they think it's as easy as putting up a video and embedding some ads in it... Well it's not that easy. You will roughly make $3.00 per 1,000 views on your video through YouTube, which isn't a crazy amount at all. Sure, if you're getting 1,000,000 views a day then that would rake up $3,000... but it's not likely.

YouTube pays the content creators, you and others who post videos, a little amount per 1,000 views because they can. They didn't have to pay you anything, but they know how much traffic some videos can pull in, so they encourage you to post and make a few bucks from it. This is why I will be going over 3 alternative methods to creating income through YouTube videos 3 alternative methods to creating income from YouTube without Adsense

Affiliate Marketing
This is actually a pretty popular method to making more money from your YouTube videos. Affiliate marketing is basically selling someone elses product and getting a percentage of the total sale. Digital products like Ebooks, SEO services, etc. will gain you a higher percentage because there's less overhead or production fees. Physical products will pull in less profit but might have a higher selling rate, which sometimes equals out if you're comparing them to digital products. What you'll do is sign up for someones affiliate platform and they will give you a link that is attached to your account. If someone clicks through you link and purchases something, you get credit for that purchase and a percentage of the overall sale.

The 2 Affiliate Programs you should check out:

  1. ClickBank - Digital products
  2. Amazons Affiliate Program - Physical products

Now everyone, or almost everyone, knows about amazon and that you can post links aimed at specific products or just send someone through your link and hope they purchase from somewhere on the site lol. But some people may not know about ClickBank, and this is a huge digital product affiliate marketplace where people publish their items and you can advertise for them and get a cut of the money. ClickBank pays out pretty well and they are reputable, so you don't have to worry about that.

Sell Your Own Product
Adsense will pull in a fraction of a cent per view on your video, which won't make you much in the long run. Affiliate sales won't get you all of the profits per sale because the manufacturer of the product gets the majority of the sale. So if you want to make a little more money, you can actually sell your own products.

Depending on your method of sourcing products, or making them, you could increase your measly 4% to 8% commission from Amazons program to 80% if you sell your own products. The only problem with this is that Amazon has a massive marketplace and people are more willing to purchase off of their website because there's more than likely something they will find that interests them. You're limited by how many products you can sell because you can't sell 1,000,000 different products on your own website if you don't own them... Wait, you can 3 alternative methods to creating income from YouTube without Adsense All you have to do is set up an eCommerce website and use AliExpress to load your pages with products. You will have to do this manually since AliExpress is a marketplace, but after a few days or weeks of uploading and editing, you will have an amazing marketplace where you can profit much more than 25% of the sale. I actually have a few websites like this and I don't sell anything under a 100% markup lol. So basically I don't make any less than a 50% commission on each sale 3 alternative methods to creating income from YouTube without Adsense

Start Consulting
What you'll want to do is start uploading videos to YouTube and give away a decent amount of information that is well thought out and actually helps people. Every few videos you can pitch your consulting services and people will think "Well, if I'm getting this amount of information for free, I wonder what amazing info will be given to me if I pay him?" And that's where you turn a basic viewer into a client 3 alternative methods to creating income from YouTube without Adsense They see you as the expert and authority so they will more than likely pay you to "teach" them about something that you're both interested in.

A lot of people who upload YouTube videos for profit think that you just upload the video and money starts to roll in, which isn't the case at all. You need to work on your videos, build your viewers and subscribers, constantly add quality content and also brand yourself and your video at the same time. You can add in various income streams to these videos, you don't have to just rely on Adsense for roughly $3.00 per 1,000 views.

In Conclusion:
When it comes to making money on YouTube, there are a few different methods that don't rely on Adsense. You can pitch someone elses product as an affiliate, you can pitch your own product and source it from AliExpress or you can pitch a consulting service and turn your viewers into monthly clients. The route you choose is solely up to you and you alone. No one can tell you what's best for you because you aren't like anyone else 3 alternative methods to creating income from YouTube without Adsense Split test these methods and see which one you like best, then bootstrap it and increase your profits down the road 3 alternative methods to creating income from YouTube without Adsense

I had wanted to test the earning from writing paid reviews but it isn’t easy because you need to be a respected and popular blogger. I don’t think there is someone who would trust you to write a paid review if your blog is just like that with minimal traffic. With subject of earning money from Youtube without Adsense I guess that will also apply like what you said about product reviews in a blog but this time the review is on video.

Very interesting your post!

I have seen many youtubers complaining that their incomes in Adsense are getting smaller every day. Some blame recent outgoings for major YouTube advertisers, but I have not seen anyone take advantage of their current audience to promote new monetization ideas.

I believe that the affiliate model and the sale of products themselves can generate a lot more money than Adsense, especially for channels with large audiences.

I believe that from now on, if a channel does not re-sign up, it will simply stop making money, because relying exclusively on Adsense is a big risk for anyone.

I actually didn't know YouTubers can earn views from Adsense. Yes, if comparing to earning from affiliate programs or own programs, I suppose the pay from Adsense is very little. I always thought YouTube is just a channel for the blogger or business owner to promote their products, such as giving webinars or tutorials, that's what I usually watch YouTube videos for.

Thank you for sharing this!

Most of the YouTubers earn from youtube through Google Adsense. There are other options too like sponsoring any product or services on your videos for money and using affiliate products if you are an affiliate marketer. It's good if you use CPA offers to promote from youtube.

Yeah, also a lot of members are using like adfly short links in their descriptions. So they get traffic to their sites but also earn money using link shortening. I never thought of trying that Amazon affiliate on youtube may try to see how it works out.

These are all really handy tips, and can definitely prove themselves useful in the advent of the recent "ad-pocalypse." I haven't been keeping up too closely with YouTube news, so I'm unaware if the situation has gotten any better or not. There certainly is a lot less complaining from content creators, though.

For those who don't know, because major companies such as Pepsi and Coca-Cola were finding their advertisements on some rather unsavory videos, they along with many other big corporations stopped advertising on YouTube. As a result, the amount of revenue many content creators were receiving was slashed. This resulted in an outcry within the YouTube community and a fear that it marked the end of content creation on YouTube.

It does seems to be getting better though, since Google has been making changes to the system.

Wow, I never thought that. I always had this thought that if you want to make money from your youtube videos, you need adsense. I never had this idea that I can do affiliate marketing, sell my stuffs and offer consultation services from youtube videos.
The first thing you need if you want to make money from videos is how to create videos. Shooting a video, doing few editing and posting on youtube is easy. However, if you have to create videos from scratch it is really difficult. For example, you want to promote affiliate products, how do you make a video? You need a desktop recording program, however, how do you generate contents for the video. This is the difficult part of video marketing.

Great alternative ways to the ever so popular AdSense. I think the easiest one out of these three in terms of execution is without a doubt the affiliate marketing. That's why it's also so extremely common to see. I mean, why wouldn't you advertise somebodies else product and get a cut out of it?

What about the YouTube network company called Freedom? That's based around no AdSense. Is that a good method as well?

I love the sell your products part, where you can operate your ecommerce business based on drop shipping and then drive traffic to your store through youtube, cool. Another cool way is to promote CPA offer with your videos and sending converting traffic to these offers. Though adsense is a simple way to make money on youtube, these other means could just boost you earning over 5 times more.

Patreon is another good option. I know some of the YouTube users who are releasing the patreon only videos. And that can be good enough on many counts. I think many people have settled with that because it earns a fairly good amount this way. You can see that many people left job in order to work on the patreon. For them it is working out just fine.

Some say this is the year of vlogging. It depends on how and where the videos are sourced. Video production and editing to a high quality standard is a fulltime job. So you have to be really sure this is the route you want to pursue. Starting and managing a Youtube channel is different from managing a blog.

Well said, the skillset required in managing a blogging and a YouTube channel is totally different. Again it is important you know how to produce good videos too, as this will help keep subscribes happy and increase the chances of greater revenue.

I did a general search via Google and this post showed up. All tips are good but I can only use Number 1. I have seen people using the Amazon affiliate links with their YouTube videos. I was not aware that you could also use ClickBank links. I get mixed reviews about ClickBank. (O.o) Some say it's spam. Some say they make money. Do you have any further experience you can share?

This is simply an eye opener on how one can use YouTube to make money instead of depending on using it for Adsense purposes alone. The part of selling one's products is actually the highlight of what I read from your post.

I am thinking of a consultancy on kitchen chores particularly cooking. This is not another cooking show but more of a question and answer. For example, some people have a hard time dissolving corn starch in hot water. Or how do you avoid crying when chopping onions. A friend gave me that idea because she found that my husband has a very practical approach in the kitchen. Maybe a kitchen guru? That’s just a plan and still fluid because it’s not easy to say that you know everything about the kitchen.

Recently Youtube added a clause on its earning program. You need at least 4000 hours views and 1000 subscribers to be eligible to make money from Adsense. For general individuals, this is difficult to achieve. If you use the methods mentioned by the OP you can still make money from Youtube even if you are not participating on youtube earning.
