And that's my top 10 online marketing facts that all small business owners should know of today! While not an extensive list, I've looked up others and these are probably the most important ones to know of today. And as said, by knowing these things, you can better know where to focus your marketing to today.

For example, knowing how many people read blogs every month should be an inspiring enough reason to be blogging! Any business that wants to attract more clients and customers would be and is wise to be blogging consistently. And knowing how many people that search online using their mobile and how many of them actually convert into a paying customer, there is no reason not to be mobile friendly today and make sure that your business is highly discoverable online.

That can be done through both SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The process of building high quality links to your website through all the different places you can that are related to your site as closely as possible. Such as related forums and blogs to your site, guest posts and mentions on sites and portals around the web that match the niche and industry of your site.

And through SMO (Social Media Optimization). The process of growing your social media profiles and pages on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+, YouTube etc etc.

I honestly didn't know about these marketing facts. They're all quite interesting. The two that especially caught my attention was the one about the percentage of people that make a buy through the mobile phones and the number of real people that still read blogs - it is far higher than I imagined. I believe that these facts and statistical data is good for anybody that has online business or even a website.

I am intrigued by your statement about “real people reading blogs” because the implication is that there are other readers of blogs like bots maybe. I wonder why you think that real people are dwindling. Is it because the blogs are getting less traffic from humans? Maybe I have to check on this fact because it is scary to think that blogs can be read by other creatures aside from humans.

I think these type of stats are data specific. As in it may apply to some companies and may not apply to all. Because we live in a world where different region and the changes have their own set of the rules. I think many small business know that they can promote on larger scale but often their actions may not be consistent there. So on that case you'd be able to understand how the conversion from the SEO efforts. So for digital marketing results are often skewed. Each one of the things are a bit different in that case as well.

The facts presented here are really interesting. However, I never give myself too much into facts and figures. I, of course, follow the marketing trends, but that's a different matter.
I have half a dozen websites, however, only a few are updated regularly. I don't have time to manage all of my websites. Since I wanted to focus on one niche per website, I ended up creating many websites. My intention for having so many websites was to profit by selling, however, I have not been able to sell my website.
I do SEO and SMO. I also do SMM (social media marketing) in order to keep my website alive.

The field of digital marketing is very broad and this is great because the chances of getting a good result are high... But at the same time, if it's not something well thought out strategically (which can take a long time) it ends up being a pure waste of time.

I am an online seller and can say that this this post is very informative. Digital marketing is definitely important. I use social media marketing the most and this seem to be working for me. However, I have been thinking of other types of marketing too as I really want to grow my business. Without advertising nothing much can be done.

I am surprised with the point #5 that 61% of mobile searches results in purchase. I agree that mobile browsing is now more than the traditional browsers in desktop and laptop. However, that 61% means more than half of the mobile searches. Gee, that is hard to understand for me. Statistically speaking, I find that number mathematically improbable because we know that mobile users search and go, meaning they do some search even without the purpose of buying and more of a research only. Besides, having half of people that search would buy, that would be preposterous, so to speak.

The data related to email marketing and mobile purchase are surprising to me. I always had an impression that people do not use their mobile devices to make a purchase. People, of course, use shopping apps and make a purchase from these apps. However, I believed that when people visit the website, they do not care what products and services are being promoted. I knew mobile traffic is increasing, however, I did not know about mobile traffic conversion. I also never thought people actually bought products and services that were promoted through email marketing, To me email marketing is more of a spam,
