Being a 'me too!' blog, might be another pretty big SEO mistake. If others have already published endlessly about your topic, what new thing(s) do you have to say? If you can't say something new and are just basically rehashing what others have said, maybe just find a new niche to blog about.
Stay fresh and relevant, whatever topic you are writing about. Make it your goal to publish timeless, evergreen content that sticks around in search for years, even decades. Thinking you are always going to be at the top of the search for your chosen keyword(s) is a pretty big mistake. Google is always reinventing and refining the algorithm and you have to run to keep up. What would get you ranked five or ten years ago will get you in trouble now. Being a 'me too!' blog, might be another pretty big SEO mistake. If others have already published endlessly about your topic, what new thing(s) do you have to say?
