101+ Things You Can Outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Freelancer today
So you need something doing but don't know how to do it yourself, or don't have the time to? Well fortunately for you, you can pretty much outsource just about everything today! And the beauty of
seocheckout is that you can get all of these things done for you on here. Whether by
hiring a freelancer or creating a WTB and hiring someone that way. But in case you was wondering, just exactly what some of those things are that you can outsource to a freelancer, I thought we should prove it as we go and do a series list of here's 101+ things you can outsource to a VA or freelancer today.
I've actually already put together a list of sorts of about 70 things but I know that there's more. So if possible, I'd sort of like this to be a community thing where you can submit the things you know that can be outsourced or purchased from a freelancer and I'll then do a post on it talking about what it is, why you would outsource it and maybe even some recommendations for services or tips and things to know about what to look for when it comes to getting it done for you.
And I know that some of them are just plain obvious, like SEO for example or Internet marketing or just something people always purchase from freelancers. But I want to sort of focus also on some of the other things, the more unusual things you can outsource especially and some of those other things that you don't usually hear about as much but are still quite important like
Reputation Management,
Guest Posting, to
Event Management,
Travel Planning,
Social Media Management/Marketing etc.
And to kick us off with that, I wanted to talk about the first one.
1. Inbox Detox.
Got too many emails in your inbox? Need some of them cleared out and organised but don't have time to do that? That can be outsourced quite easily. Of course, there may be some emails that you don't want anyone else to see, such as sensitive stuff, passwords etc. But at the end of the day, if it's something that needs to be done, (and not doing it will only make things worse) then this is something you can outsource to a trusted, reliable VA today. Especially so for businesses that receive a lot of mail. While the large ones can afford in-house customer service agents to deal with that some can't and it can streamline your business by having a good email purge from time to time.
You could just delete all your old emails but you might not want to do that. So you'd have to go through them all one by one and delete all the ones you don't want. But that could take a very long time and is quite boring, long and tedious. And if that sounds like you, this is something you can outsource to a freelancer that's willing to do it for you.
They'll need to learn about you and you'll have to tell them what kind of stuff to keep and what to delete. Or specifically what type of emails to delete and which to avoid. And they can go in and start deleting a lot of stuff like junk emails and old answered questions, solved matters etc.
I would advise though that you have them just move them to the trash can and then quickly skim through them yourself to see if there's any emails you don't want to delete. That could take time though so that could be something you could also outsource. That extra step could save you a headache later on if you need to reference something said in an old email with an old customer lol. :/
But generally, getting an
inbox detox will free up space for more emails on your server or within your email account whatever you use.
How to get an Inbox Detox?
Pros and Cons to Inbox Detox
Pros
- You'd free up space for more emails in your email account inbox.
- Helps with streamlining your business (out with the old in with the new)
Cons
- You'd have to trust someone and could be giving away inside details about your business/company to a stranger who could sell it to a competitor (unlikely perhaps).
- They could inadvertently delete emails you want to keep and not delete those that you don't.
So yeah, did you know you could outsource an
Inbox Detox?
Have you ever outsourced detoxing yours?
For some other things I was thinking of posting that you could outsource are as said, Managing Events, Reputation / Project Management. Things that basically involve someone running the whole of your business, more or less, for you.
And what other things are there that you can outsource to a freelancer today?
Those actual do something for you types of service.
Cheers all!
Mike.

I like outsourcing easy and repetitive tasks to someone in India or the Philippines because they usually know English and don't require $45 an hour to perform a task lol.
Currently I have a new guy from Bangladesh who is importing items to my website and editing the titles and text on the pages so that they are not duplicates of the original source. So far so good as for what I can see lol. I'm paying this guy $450 a month and that's basically a full time income for him. He's working 8 hours a day on my website for 1 month, so that breaks down to $3.50 an hour One thing I like outsourcing is any type of data entry. I usually go with a few different VA's that I've used over the years and they do a great job. Now I have had my fair share of bad virtual assistants and wasted a lot of time and money on them :( It will definitely take time to find the right people to do the work and for an affordable price.
