A comfortable chair is always a good idea!

One thing I learned quickly was that it's not good to just sit anywhere and work on either a PC or laptop. I tend to do a lot of work on my laptop and a lot of the time I was spending my time on the sofa or stood up in the kitchen writing, I later found out that wasn't doing me any good, especially my back it also didn't help in me staying focused because I felt so uncomfortable it was off putting.

Having a good, comfortable chair is key to not only being comfortable and it helping you to focus but it also helps to protect you from serious back pain.

Many people complain about having a bad back after spending a lot of time sat at the computer and a lot of that is down to a bad chair.

Do you feel you have a comfortable chair or could your chair be better than it is?

Hello shortie861
Have a wonderful day.

Yeah. Your opinion about comfortable chair is also can make back pain if you work on computer. As I heard your eyes should stay parallel with the computer desktop monitor or screen. You will select s chair where your back will be stay vertically equal. In this way you can do work long time by desktop computer. One more matter in here; you have to place your fingers on keyboard for the best typing speed.

In case of laptop you can sit down any where to do work and your back should be verticaly equal. Laptop can be place on lap.

Thanks

I used to work at a office where we had desks raised , it was nice because you can work standing or sitting. I would suggest raising your desk higher, or try using back support for the back.

A good comfortable chair is really important when you sit to work. Since it is the place you will be spending most time on, it will be good investment to find yourself a really comfortable chair that you like. When you find yourself slouching, I recommend you to get up and walk around for a while or maybe change your position. Sometimes working in a different environment than usual helps you focus and be more creative and you can get back to your chair again.

I have a chair but I'd say it could be better. A comfortable chair does change the way I use a computer, back then I used to have a portable stool for a chair and I would feel very uncomfortable especially when I'm doing long tasks in front of the computer. Now I took an actual chair, although it's purely made out of plastic so it's a bit hard to lean your back onto but I guess it's better than nothing.

You are right, a comfortable chair it relax me and I can work easier on my PC. Even so, I must get up and make some sit ups for my back spine. No matter if your chair is comfortable or not you must move your self if you spend too much time in the front of your PC.

of cause a comfortable chair is a must for a good quality productive hours, some times I spend more than ten hours working on computer, so if your chair is not comfortable enough you'll get tired of sitting quickly which might result in not finishing your works, in short the more your chair is the more money you can make is short time.

Having a comfortable chair is a good idea, if you have a lot of customers, you may not get a chance to sit down and may not have any use for the chair.
if you don't get a lot of business, you may find yourself wanting to sit down. Your feet may also get tired if you are not used to standing a lot or if you have ti stand for a long period of timz on uncomfortable ground

I will always agree to that. Being comfortable while working can help you finish work faster. Especially if you need to sit down for a long time.

Yes, a chair is a really good investment. You'll be working a lot sitting in that chair! Make it as comfortable as possible!

Having an uncomfortable chair could also distract you from work. Like when you have everything going flawlessly then the next second you have this ache at your back and this could totally distract your writing sessions. If you don't have a good chair yet, I suggest you get one since a good chair goes a long way.

Ergonomics is the key regarding your office or home working environment. That's why a great supporting chair and desk and exercise is important. We take these little things for granted at times but our bodies don't forget and it affects our entire mode of operation and health. We are active individuals, that's how our muscles stay flexible, therefore exercise and good posture assisted by good working area is a must. Consider yourself sold on selling the idea of good posture and a healthy work area and guaranteed you will be one happy customer who will receive benefits from that transaction for a very long time to come!

There was a time when I would go home very tired and with back pains. It occurred often. My suspicion was the pressure in my job. When I complained to my husband, he let me sit in front of our computer. The chair is plastic that is similar to the chairs in our dining table. I immediately felt the difference of that chair with my office chair where I usually slouch. To make the story short, it was the bad chair that was giving me the fatigue and the back pains. After changing to a plastic chair, our boss had requested for me an ergonomic chair that is designed to match the contour of the spinal column. No more back pains, lesser fatigue.

It helps that I work from home, so what I do is to prop up a super fluffy pillow on my chair and a smaller one for my lower back. It works wonders. So if you are not bale to get a new chair, you should try this ( well, only if you work from home A comfortable chair is always a good idea! ). My workspace chair is so hard that I had a crick in my neck for days and my back. Since adopting pillows as my work companions, I can sit comfortably for hours on end.

A good chair and a good position can be of great help. Sitting for long periods of time in front of the screen can kill your back, so investing in a good chair is a very good option. Not only we will be more comfortable to do work, but it benefits our health. Also, adding some padding will help if you can't get a new chair.

I think it's important to ultimately have a good balance of comfort and function. While I can agree with the idea that you shouldn't be uncomfortable, especially when working for long periods of time, you need something that is going to put you in a position that is good for your body as well. A comfortable chair isn't necessarily one that is the best for your spine. Both in our workplaces and homes, we can't sacrifice our wellbeing for the sake of comfort.

Sitting down for too long is terribly bad, be it before pc or without pc. Being in sitting posture for too long will prevent appropriate circulation of blood through the body system. Of course getting a comfortable chair is good at least it is essential to be comfortable when working. But really comfortable chair alone is not enough, I will recommend to take a break at some interval and walk around.

I think sitting down for long periods is bad for our back. I recommend taking some breaks and walk. However, some of us have desk-bound jobs so we cannot avoid this situation. I think office chair is pretty good. I also use a back support. The size of the chair is important to cater to my height as well.

Well, I'm guilty. I love to use my pc, tablet, phone, pc, seating on my comfy coach or bean bag. Unfortunately my lower back reminds me of how bad it is, when it starts to hurt. So, I know, good posture make us comfy, and if we are comfy we'll work better. Then of course a proper chair to work is a must. Lately, I've been working on this issue, now I have my "proper" chair, with some puffy seat, back support, and I'm noticing the results.

Generally speaking, no matter what job you have, a comfortable chair is always a good idea. Especially when you have to sit at a desk or office for hours and hours at a time. Whenever I have to shop for a chair, I try to find ones that give good posture support while simultaneously being the most comfortable. I remember I had a chair that sucked so bad. Every time I got up from the desk, my back would ache. Once I bought a new chair, I couldn't believe the difference I felt. Along with how much easier, it was to actually streamline and get work done. So, yes, choosing the right chair is important when working a desk job.

When performing a task or doing any work with gadget especially the desktop or the laptop comfortability is the watch-word.We can't do much when we're uncomfortable.Infact you get tired easily and fatigue sets in.

So when working on your computer and you want to get all work done, just get a comfortable space, chair and table to have an accomplished task.

I used the armless backrest chair to work and it is one that I have enjoyed working with over a period of time. Your posture during working contributes greatly to your health condition in the long run.

I agree with this. When I first started freelancing I used to have terrible backache because of all the sitting I was doing. I realized that the chair I was using was not supporting my back properly. Many people take this aspect for granted. I have to say that my pain was so bad, I could hardly walk and had to get pain blockers. Loosing weight and taking regular walks helped. I also got a chair that was kind to my back.

Ergonomics (??r???nämiks) is the study of people's efficiency in their working environment. I have been at jobs where they sent a person in to check the chair I was sitting in, to measure of my face from the computer screen, to determine the air quality in the office, etc. At first, I thought: 'Eh! Somebody just made up work for somebody else to do.' But you know what? After that person adjusted my chair and made a few other arrangements in my office, I was amazed! I felt so comfortable. What amazed was that I could really feel the difference in my neck and my back. I'll never make fun of a person who does ergonomic assessments for a living. I owe them my health!

Yes! A very good chair is needed. Right now I am using a small plastic while I am writing this post. Its so hard to write because its very low. If I only have the money I will buy a new one. One that I could feel comfortable.

As of now, I am writing this so I could earn. My back is aching because of my small table and chair. If I have plenty of money I will really buy a chair like a massage chair. So that while I am working, I will be refreshed.

You are correct, I often have backaches and neckaches whenever I sit for long long periods of time in front of my PC or Laptop. I bought an ergonomic chair, it helped a lot but it didn't solve the problem so what I did was to do some stretching exercises every 2 hours and rest for an hour.
