Some tips on how to make the perfect logo for your website

Making a log may seem pretty easy, but there's actually some things you should follow in order to get people to remember you Some tips on how to make the perfect logo for your website

Whenever I'm getting a logo designed by Sajeewa, I will always go over a few things that I need (which are mandatory). He knows what I like and he doesn't sway too much away from it.

My logos are always clean, to the point, and memorable.

How do you make a clean logo?
Well that's not too difficult actually. You don't want any jagged lines on the edges and you want to make it a variation of one color. You can have multiple colors, but don't go too crazy because it could just look like a bomb exploded and the results was your logo lol. Use straight lines and try not to have your logo curve at all. I don't see many curved logos, but that's probably because they never look good Some tips on how to make the perfect logo for your website

How do you make a logo "to the point"?
Have you ever seen a logo that has a bunch of text in it? The text could be the domain name, a tag line, some other crap and then an image of the "mascot" of the website? that's not to the point lol. Set your logo up so it's just a text form of your domain name but designed well. Doing this will make you look like an authority that doesn't take shit from your competition Some tips on how to make the perfect logo for your website

How do you make a logo memorable?
Well that's the easiest part! If you can make the logo clean and to the point, it will usually be memorable Some tips on how to make the perfect logo for your website Try not to add too much to your logo like a graphic of a person or animal (a mascot) and you will up your authority factor by 10. You don't want to seem childish, right?

Making the perfect logo can increase your sales a lot. The logo is one of the first things people look at when they come to a website, so make it great!

Nice on Razzy and thanks for sharing your recommended seller here.

I agree with you, I see so many logo's that are so busy I can't even focus on it and figure out what the company's name is. A logo needs to be simple so that you can easily brand everything you do. When someone sees an advert online they should be able to easily spot your logo and identify it.

I dont like busy logo's or busy websites. I love everything plain and simple, without loads of distractions.

I always made clean logos, I'm not very good at the actual design, I like to keep thing clean and easy. I even have a logo design services here on seocheckout, made good money with it over the years, I recently re-activated it and I even got a new sale.

I create my logos with photoshop, I usually make an icon and implement a logo title with a tagline underneath it, give everything transparency so it can be placed on any background color. This is the classic look for any Wordpress logo out there. I'm a little overwhelmed by Adobe Illustrator for example way to complicated for me to learn, but with Photoshop, things are easy.

Designing logos can be fun. I have designed my own in the past as well.

Here are my own tips for logo design:
  1. Use the color scheme that your website uses. If you have a logo and the color scheme is not related to the website colors then the logo will look out of place.
  2. Make different sizes of the logo, don't use the resize tools. When you resize an image with resize tools, sometimes the logo can look distorted, and may even be a bit blurry. Create logos at different sizes, and try to keep away from the resize tool.
  3. Icons. Make sure the icon you're using is relevant to your website's brand/identity, etc. You don't want an irrelevant icon for your website.
  4. Font types. Make sure the font type you're using for the logo fits with the font type that your website uses. For instance, if you're using arial font type you don't want your logo to be a cursive font.

I use photoshop. I can design logos and banners on photoshop, however, my designing skills are rudimentary. Therefore, I hired a designer to make logos for my website through Fiverr. I got two logos for $10 and design files for extra $10. I was satisfied with the logos, but having logos on my entire logo by outsourcing was financially not viable. Therefore, I began doing my own logos. While designing logos, I always try to match with the theme color of my website. I also try to match the logo with the niche of my website.

I have no eye for visual artistry and when it comes to visual designs, I just leave it to those with artistic inclination. However, I know some points that can be of help like a unique design for a logo. Being unique, it is a factor for being catchy and easy to remember especially if the unique design is not a complex one. An example is the Merlion of Singapore, it is a mix of lion and mermaid which never fails to be of interest to tourists and so effective to be remembered.
