A good "To Do" list. Is there a website that can help me with this or should I just write it down?

I've been looking around the interwebs lately to find a website that is a kind of digital "to do" list management type website, but I haven't found anything that I've fallen in love with.

I don't need anything crazy, I just need it to work lol. If it sends a type of desktop push notification then that would most likely be the one for me, but I don't think I've found one just yet that does that A good "To Do" list. Is there a website that can help me with this or should I just write it down?

Here's what I have so far...

todoist.com - This website seems right up my alley mainly because of it's simple and easy design. A lot of the features seem pretty sweet, but when I looked over the notifications section they only send email and push notifications via SMS. Their pricing is pretty good, but when I looked it over a bit more it seems that this platform is more team based and not for an individual user.
toodledo.com - Now this basically has all the same features as todoist.com but the backend looks a lot fancier, which I couldn't care less for. If it works well and does what I need, I don't care how fancy the backend is lol A good "To Do" list. Is there a website that can help me with this or should I just write it down? But again, the notifications seem to only be email and SMS A good "To Do" list. Is there a website that can help me with this or should I just write it down? Their website says that their system is free, but I'm sure that the basic account is the only free thing and you'd have to pay for the services that actually make it worth signing up for.
rememberthemilk.com - This "to do" reminder website seems a bit more up my alley because the first thing I checked for was what kind of notification system they have. It says they send out IM's but I'm not sure what kind of IM's they're sending out. If I have to download a simple desktop app where the icon launches a small pop up, I'm all in A good "To Do" list. Is there a website that can help me with this or should I just write it down? But I'll have to go into a deeper overview of the service before I pull the trigger. As for their pricing, it seems that the free account does everything I need, as long as they send desktop push notifications to remind me of what I need done A good "To Do" list. Is there a website that can help me with this or should I just write it down?

Do you guys and girls have any website or service that you could recommend?

I've used Trello before and it is quite cool Razzy. The nice thing about it is you can track projects, to do's and all sorts of things in addition to having more than one person accessing it. You can allocate people to projects and tasks too so it is easy to collaborate on projects.

Check it out Razzy it is free. And if I've used it and managed to get by then you will figure it out quickly.

I first became aware of it because my sister uses it for work and when she did a project with me she added me in to the project there. I must say it was quite cool. Instead of sending emails back and forth you can leave notes on different aspects of the project directly there.

Such a site would be very helpful for us freelancers. It has never occurred to me to look one up to be honest. I just keep a diary and scribble important notes and deadlines on it. However I checked out the sites that you suggested and they seem pretty good. Obviously there are going to be pros and cons about each one, but I think that as long as it is free it would work fine.

trello.com - awesome free to manage everything you need to do online as well as get other people on board for certain projects and to do lists. Trello has a really nice implementation of To Do lists actually, it can be specifically implemented for every task or board you create.

Trello also haves a app version, very handy when you want to work from you mobile and speaking of mobile I also use Google "Keep" for smaller tasks and reminders, great tool I used it every day!

Thanks for sharing this information even if I am not in the habit of using sites for purposes of creating my “todo” list. You can call me old fashioned but I am still using the small notebook for my notes on whatever activities that I need to note down. I have a full time job in the office and I am also freelancing so my mind is quite clogged sometimes that my notebook is very important because writing down the notes on my head will unclog my mind of the clutter of ideas.
