I know a lot of people put a lot of value and emphasis on forum marketing and rightly so because it can prove to be very effective for generating lazer targeted leads and traffic to your site, products, services or affiliate offers etc. Not to mention improve your rankings by creating very powerful high authority, high ranking forum profile backlinks.
Now as you know, creating lots of internal links to any site or page on your site, is going to make that one of the most important pages in the eyes of Google. Likewise, any forum that has tons of internal links pointing to some page or post or profile on that forum is also going to be seen as an important page and thusly, ranked higher by Google over other pages/posts/profiles on that same forum.
So if you've ever wondered how to get those high authority powerful forum profile backlinks on forums that are related to your niche which are worth their weight in gold! Then this will show you how to go about creating more powerful forum profile backlinks on the best and biggest forums of them all in your very niche!

Now since there are forums in any niche. For the purpose of this we'll say that you're in the IM / affiliate marketing / SEO niche. So you'll probably want to join a bunch of those types of forums and then post on them regularly. By doing so, you'll be creating links to your profile from the very posts you're creating in peoples threads or in threads you've started yourself. And the more you are busy in that forum, the more of these you'll create. Since it's easy to create hundreds or even thousands of posts, replies and responses on peoples threads and posts and things in no time. After being active in any forum it's possible to build thousands of these internal links to your profile.

It will help if your profile is SEO'd and you've filled in all the fields and added a lot of content to it where you can in the about / bio areas etc and obviously, you'll want a signature link that links to your site using the keywords you're targeting. On some forums you can even blog as well such as XenForo, VBulletin, SMF etc. So it will help if you add good blog post articles as well of course but that's just basic common sense. The point is, you'll want to find ways you can build those internal links to your profile from each forum or forum platform type that you're using.

Remember how when you follow people, on Tumblr, it shows on their profile that you're their follower. Well this often works in the same way for forums as well. So by following people, even if they don't follow you back, you'll still show up as one of their followers on their profile with a link back to your profile. Now since that most forums don't have a limit on how many people you can follow. Although they do have flood controls so don't go following too many people too quickly! Just take it easy and follow a bunch a day and miss a day that kind of thing. Most forum owners wont know why you're doing it but will just think you like following people and they love you're interacting with their site and people love that you followed them so follow you back as well and that again shows under the people they are following list on their profile.
Plus they can be notified about your new posts which means more awareness about you and your posts and blog posts and offers and things. So if any of those people comment on your threads as well, that creates even more links back to your profile from people that are already linking to your profile. Basically, the more work you put in on forums, the more powerful forum profiles and backlinks you can create on them.
Think about it. A/B test it if you want! Target 2 of the same keywords and you'll see that the one that you done the work building the internal links to will always outrank the one's you didn't!
Do this with around 10 different high authority forums. Build them up so they have tons of internal links pointing to them, and then they will be very powerful backlinks on those profiles that can have a very powerful positive ranking effect for keyword ranking.

So now my mind is ticking because for example I asked a question about changing the signature in my forum profiles on occasion so that I can let people see my different websites. I guess that would then be a silly move since then I would mess with all the linkbuilding work I would have been doing up until that time.
I would need to rather create a separate profile for each website and keep it niche specific for each profile.
I am starting to see how this would be beneficial now. I was previously only looking at building links through forum marketing as being able to every now and then add in a link to one of my website posts, but I was not looking forward to the process of having to add new content and join in discussions purely so that I can gain trust and be seen as a non-spammer so I can add a link in every now and then.
What you are saying is that even if I only have a link to my website in my profile for example every time I do anything on that forum it is building up the power and link juice of that profile link to my website?
So actually that would probably be more valuable than all the little links I may be able to get away with adding into the forum discussions?
