So if you've been following along with my 10 Weird and Whacky Ways to Make Money so far, you'd see we've had being a professional beer drinker, being a professional food taster, selling your hair, being a human test subject and getting paid to sleep!
Talking of getting paid to sleep. How about getting paid to let people sleep in your garden!? This way of making money involves renting your garden out to people!
If you're fortunate enough to live in a large rural area or near where activities like fetes, shows, festivals etc take place, or you have a large back garden or area of grassland that you own such as a small secluded field or something. Then you can turn that green into cash by renting out your lawn or field to campers!
How to rent out your garden space to happy campers?
AirBNB is a website that lets you register your back garden or lawn for camping in. Holiday makers or even people attending festivals and things in your area can then book your garden or lawn to camp in for a period of time. It doesn't cost anything to list your garden for camping in with AirBNB, and you can price your garden for as much as you want. All you pay is a 3% commission to AirBNB on whatever you charge.
You'll have to follow their "good hosting guide" and make sure you are a good host. These campers will leave reviews on your hosting and camping grounds. So it's sort of like getting good reviews for hotels and b&b's etc on Yelp etc if you want people to come back again and want new people to come and camp out in your garden!
Whether it's just for the weekend, a few days, a whole week or longer! You can rent out your back garden, lawn or other grassy area to campers and holiday makers.
How is the price determined?
The total price of a reservation on Airbnb is based on a few factors. Note that the price is charged in full once a host accepts your reservation request (or if you use Instant Book).
Costs determined by the host:

I think my new garden will be pretty much completed at the start of the next summer, looking forward relaxing in that garden when it's all set and done.
Anyways, the idea is not bad, you just have to be desperate enough to rent such an intimate place. No way! I would never let strange people into my garden, first of all I don't have a huge yard and second I just started to make it beautiful, by planting trees, taking care of the grass, constructing a garden house and things like that.
