My work from anywhere job recommendations - Editorial services

If you're good with grammar then you have your foot in the door for any business looking for editorial services. Now if you have a degree in English then you are sought after for editorial services and sometimes companies will pay a high dollar for you to fix what they have written.

There are multiple ways to go about running some kind of service like this. You could write up some software to auto edit content and will spit out a fully edited document that you might have to review slightly. You can edit all the content yourself and go through each line one by one fixing what needs to be tweaked. Or you can set up a service where companies come to you to get something edited or tweaked and you have a team of people do the work for a fraction of the money paid by the business looking for your services.

The amount you can charge per post, article or page depends on the amount of words and level of reading the content is. Don't focus on your pricing, that will lose you clients. Focus more on client relations and they will come back time and time again and you'll make more money in the long run than if you charge a premium right off the start.

Treat your clients like friends and they will return for follow up work as well as refer plenty of their friends who also own businesses.

You can do this from anywhere since all you would need is a laptop and an internet connection since everything can be done digitally. You can edit and send back your finished work to be reviewed. Once accepted you can obtain your payment or you can even charge prior to starting the work so you are guaranteed to be paid if you do quality work My work from anywhere job recommendations - Editorial services

Yeah, it does sounds great and it could be a good business but that's only if you're an expert also it's not that easy to get clients.

As you said, you need some kind of English degree. The best thing to have if you are non-native English speaker is the Cambridge English Exams.

I plan on getting one for a while now, that really looks good on your CV, seriously, I've seen people getting hired just because of that certification, apparently, their work experience didn't matter at all. In essence, you want to get hired by a good company, so having some kind of certificate gets to be important if you aim high.

I can see this could be a nice way to make money online. I have proofread a few articles for friends of mine that are not English speaking but not for payment, I just did it as a favor for them.

I can see that there would be a market for this, there are some people that just shouldn't be pushing that publish button on their website or even worse giving the go ahead for printed materials. I have seen some shocking spelling and grammar errors in printed promotional items before and I just wonder even at the level of professionalism of the printer that did the job. Yes their job may well have been only to print the order but if I had a printing company I would refuse to print promotional items that had glaringly obvious errors!
