Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
You'll find that most writers do not just jump into writing a piece and in fact there is a lot of preparation that takes place before any writing happens. And, I know for my readers out there that a content that contains more detail and explanation is always more preferred. With that being said my question is what do you guys do to prep yourselves for the writing process, to produce great content?And, how many sources to you grab quotes from and/or is reading a part of preparing yourself to write? Does reading go hand in hand with your writing preparations does it help to read a lot?

If I'm just writing a comment like this one, I'll just go with the flow and answer it
If I'm posting a tutorial here on the Community Discussion I'll take my time and get screenshots of what I'm talking about in order to convey exactly what I'm talking about. This way when people start to do what the tutorial is talking about, they will fall on the same pages and understand the screenshots I took. It's like holding someones hand through the whole process so they don't get lost lol.
Now if I'm writing an ebook and it's on a specific topic, I will take my sweet time and lay everything out before I even start typing. Usually I'll write down an index of what is going to be covered and then I'll play with the order a bit so that people aren't jumping all over the place in terms of experience and knowledge. An example of this would be if I were writing an ebook about how to build a house. I wouldn't start with how to do the wiring and then skip to how to put the roof on because it doesn't make sense. You start with the basement or anchors and then to the framing. If it's not in order, people will begin reading and feel like they're lost as soon as you begin skipping around
After I'm done writing something that is a few pages long, or longer, I'll let it sit for 24 hours and come back to read over it again. Usually I can find some grammar errors, grammar errors or find some things that just don't make any sense lol It really depends on what I'm doing.
