Does going in to detail bother you?

Let me just start off by saying i love a good explanation and you know i really do appreciate those who take the time out to really explain themselves in detail especially if it is on a subject that i am a little new too. So, i want to know from a reader to all my writers out there, does it bother you putting that extra time in to making sure you fully explain your self, and do you recommend other writers to go above and beyond in detail in order to ensure there readers understand every thing being talked about?

I would say, sometime YES and sometime NO. Depends what we talking about. Perhaps i am selling some software for Twitter marketing and i am always trying to be detailed about describing my service, but yet i am not going into depth of details for some people. If they know absolutely nothing about Twitter or marketing, it's very hard to make them understand what is what and why is why and what the heck.... LOL While people who are involved in in it somehow already, they understand my services even by reading one third of it, because it's really common sense for them. So it really depend on what we are talking about and who we talking to...

ok ok i see what you are trying say, i think i understand, so if i am getting this correctly what you are saying is that you do not really mind explaining your self as long as you are not wasting your time doing so in the sense that when you do take that extra time out to explain your self you make sure it is with some one who has a better understanding so that you dont have to be that guy explaining his explaining am i correct? well if so i can say i agree that is a smart way to think

Going into detail is very important because most readers want to know more. You need to explain a topic well especially if it is a how to article, or a tutorial kind of article. Besides most likely there are many similar articles online, and to be one of the best and to stand out you should focus on giving more detail. Simply offering basic information is often not enough. Many readers will just start by skimming through and despite the fact that they understand the gist, they will be inclined to read more if they see that it is a detailed article.

and you know elite writer you always come with valid points a lot of the times we think we have good ideas but you know there are so many times were you see things twice you can see the same thing talked about over and over and you know if that is the case you have to bring some thing more to the table to make sure you are not taking any steps back at all , that is when you have to give your readers more i completely agree with it one hundred percent , thanks for the comment really .

Hi jkeyz2 thanks for another nice question. Yes I prefer to say something with details and I mostly love to say this way. But it is depend on matter. And it is depend on subject. And I think that should be subject relevant. For example: I write all of my service very details and I add FAQ etc. And all subject relevant part in there. But when people ask me something by PM, I answer relevant but short way for maximum understanding. When you are talking with someone by live chat. You have to write short message. Detail may bother to your counter parts.

yea that does make sense aj lancer, it does depend on the matter to be honest, i can see why you said it too, i know if i were too write an article i am going to have to put my all in it and that means throwing as much detail i can in to my project making sure that every body has an understanding and then some you know, but there are times were going that much in to detail really is not necessary and that is what you were saying correct, a response does not need a full scale detailed explanation and things of that nature

I don't usually mind going in to detail. I do think that there is a time and a place for everything so sometimes it is important to go into detail and at other times it is best to just give the main points.

you are right that is the oldest saying in the book you know there is a time and place for every thing haha i can remember my mom telling me that over and over when i was little but it is true nothing but facts, some times you do not have to go to crazy in full blown details it can better to just get straight to the point with who ever is reading what you have too say guess it depends on the type of discussion or article you are writing you know writers usually know whats best as they go along

This is a good question. When, I write, I try to be as brief and concise as possible but at the same time provide all the relevant information needed. When I read articles, I don’t like reading a 10-page essay but rather read a shorter version that gives me all the information. I think this mainly depends on the actual topic. If this is something I am very interested in, then going into detail is fine but if I just want to know the main points, then I don’t want a long essay. What I hate sometimes is that I want to know an answer to a simple question and I get results that are so long that I just can’t be bothered to read.

i get it you try to be on point in other words you do not want to over whelm your readers with all the boring stuff but you want to make sure they get the best out of you, so you take your time sticking to main points and try to not too go in to babbling too much which is understandable , personally i like reading things were the writer explains themselves but at the same time it is like i dont like to waist my time over reading so trust me when i say i can understand what you mean and how you write

The word detail has a varied meaning in an article. It can be a short phrase of a paragraph. When the article is short, like 500 words or less, my details of explanation is short. And when the article is pretty long then that's the time I could go at lengths in explaining something especially if it is not a common issue. What we have now is the so called EJK - extra judicial killing. I cannot leave it at that for eyebrows may be raised so I have to explain a bit that EJK is about the killing of suspected criminals by the cops. That would probably be enough for a short article. But for a longer one then I have to add the statistics and the cases in point where the suspected criminals were shot and killed because they had a gun and that they made the first shot... although evidences showed otherwise.

I think some of the time writing too much can affect your mood. And some of the time writing too much is the need for the content writing. As you can see those who can write in detail can get more things done. And those who can write better content often need more words for meeting the requirement. So it's helpful to see how the going in details can be good for you. I find it harder some of the time.
