Do you make quality videos? Are your videos original? How many subscribers does your channel have? There is many aspects when it comes to increasing your Youtube CPMs. Generally the longer the video you have the more better your video will rank in search. Do not make the videos too long, as not many people have the attention span to watch 30 minute videos, nor 20 minute videos. Some successful Youtubers make about one thousand dollars per one million video views. For Youtubers just starting out, and with under one hundred thousand Youtube subscribers they will make a lot less. The more of an audience your channel has, the quality of the videos, and your the topic of your Youtube channel will increase your Youtube CPM. I'm unsure if there is a CPM cap, I've haven't heard anything regarding a cap, however I've heard some say they only made about one dollar per ten thousand video views not one thousand. It differs from channel to channel.

Edit: After more research into Youtube CPM, the CPM is about $2.10-$11.00 per one thousand views.

I plan on setting up a gaming website and I was going to make my own gameplay videos for it. Knowing the rates was one of the things I was going to research, but knowing what you said will help me in the long run

I wish you good luck on your endeavor. Gaming websites, and Youtube channels seem to be quite popular at this time. Are you interested in the gaming niche due to the money you can make from it, or is the interest personal to you? I can not just make money because something is popular, I have to be in it 100% otherwise I'll easily get bored, and quit what ever it is I'm doing. I guess what I'm saying is, I have to be passionate, is gaming a passion and big interest of yours? Or do you just want in it solely for the money you could earn?

Yes Adsense works with monetizing Youtube, I have my channel monetized with Adsense

I have found them to be a royal pain though because I struggled to get my Adsense account approved for so long and then gave up and signed up with Freedom which is a Youtube partner but I got booted out of their program (don't ask!) and then suddenly Adsense approved my account without me even applying again.

Seriously I don't know how it all works but yes you can monetize Youtube with your Adsense account.

Oh yes, sorry about the income you can make. From the way I understand it you don't get paid per amount of views. Different deals are made with different advertisers, some are per view, some per click, some per time viewed. People pay different rates for different keywords, so there are loads of variables that come into it.

I made over $15 with about 2000 views on one video and now with another video I have made about $4 with 25 0000 views.

HI einerausla thanks for your importance question. After reading your question I tried to search some article for real and authentic information. And I saw nothing there against adSense for YouTube channel. And I saw you can link your adSense account for YouTube channel without doubt. And you can earn lot of revenue from them. And regarding cost per one thousand ad views as (CPMs) you can earn $32.60-$35 and minimum $3.75. But do not forget, if you want to monetized multiple YouTube channel, do not need to open a new adSense account. It is meaning, you can monetized more than 1 YouTube channel in 1 adSense account.

Adsense stills works for monetising YouTube videos but something you have to bare in mind is that most adblocker these days’ block adsense on videos so it isn’t as good as it used to be. The income for YouTube Partners are much less today. The CPM depends on the type of ads as CPM is proportional to advertiser budgets. The click through rate also depends and is different for everyone.

If you are looking to earn money through YouTube videos, then you would require a lot more traffic than before due to the popularity of adblockers and you should complement it with other sources of revenue like selling shout outs.

You can make money on youtube in three different ways. One you use adsense and make money from ad impression or ad clicks. Two, you do affiliate marketing on youtube videos and when you refer sales, you earn a commission. You have products and services to sell and you sell them through your youtube video. The first option is the standard way of making money from youtube videos

We have a Youtube channel, we means my husband lol. He had just received his first $150 from Adsense a few weeks back. That is surprising because the videos are not really trending at all and they are mostly personal videos, mostly our videos taken during our travels. However, that $150 took more than a year and probably it can go faster if we would promote the videos in social media. Yeah, it seemed that we have forgotten our Youtube channel and yet it earned money.

Just for an update.

There is a new change in the policy of Adsense monetization for YouTube videos. Starting this month of February, only those YouTube channels with a subscriber of at least 1,000 are qualified for monetization. Those with less subscribers will lose their privilege of earning. Much more, there is a rule of the minimum number of hours of viewing time. I’m not sure with the figures but from what I remember, it is 400 hours every month. So if the statistics of your YouTube channel fall below that restriction then your videos will not be earning anymore. That’s really sad for small time video makers. And it looks like Google is discouraging the video makers with that new policy. Maybe they have too any videos already?
