Do you go to a gym?

In the past, I belonged to a woman's only gym called Curves, that uses circuit training where you use a machine for 30-45 seconds and then move to the next machine in line. There were bounce boxes (similar to trampoline) in the circuit to allow for aerobic activity. It was an insane, calorie burning workout. I loved it so much. I'd love to join a gym like that again, if they have one in my area. So much better than a regular gym and I was never bored.

Do you go to the gym? If so, what's your favorite gym workout?

I use to go to the YMCA but I bought a stationary bike at home now and ride that every day instead. It is a hassle to go to the gym and so many people just stand around and talk.

I tried the regular gym experience where you have to pick a machine and motivate yourself toward weight loss/fitness goals. And, it didn't work for me. I need a trainer or some type of program (like the one at the gym I mentioned) which helps me stay on track and motivated toward fitness goals.

A gym? Pfffgh. Don't think I have ever stepped in one. Does chasing a three year old boy in circles 24/7 count?

I go to the gym twice a week with my friends or just go alone. I work hard to maintain a healthy and strong body and I strive to keep it that way. Having friends there with you motivates you to keep pushing and you can also motovate each other when one wants to give up. Its a great system and you can also do partner exercisess as well. I go to relieve any stress I ahve built up and let it all out there. It s a great space to clear my mind.

Yes. I do go to the gym. About two or three times a week. I love the Zumba classes the best Do you go to a gym? The instructor is great and very funny. He flirts with all the ladies and makes us work harder. I also like the treadmills and the cycle workouts. Sometimes I visit the weight section just to browse.

That's the advantage of going to a gym. You don't get bored in doing the workout because you are not alone. My high school chum is a gym manager but she is having a hard time in convincing me to avail of her special offer to me. The gym is far from our home, too much traffic on the road, worse is the difficulty of parking. I just try to workout at home whenever I could find time and motivation. At least I can save the time, effort and money when I go to the gym.

Sadly I don't go to the gym nearly as often as I used to. This is because I currently live in an area that doesn't really have any good gyms. Most of the gyms here are rundown and really of questionable standards. Because of that, I choose not to really give them my money until I see that they've improved their standards. I just workout mostly at home in order to get my daily dose of exercise, and it's been working out so far - - and the pun is absolutely intended. That being said, working out with machines and actual equipment is just so much better than bodyweight exercises, so that is what I miss the most.

I always go to the gym while I was still at school to keep the body and soul in good condition, but since I graduated, I have not had the course to continue going to the gym. maybe it is something I need to start all over again.

In fact I do. Not like everyday, and during hours, but about 3 days a week, and for a couple of classes. For sure, that makes me feel better, because I'm active and gaining strength and resistance. Also, it's distracting, I've met new friends and take my worries for a while, at least when I'm there. I do some yoga too, which helps me with my flexibility and also improves my breathing. Exercising is a healthy habit, and for sure everybody should try it.

I do not go to the gym for two reasons.
Number 1: I am very self-conscious about exercising in front of people. For me, exercise is a private matter.
Number 2: I don't want to pay money for something I can do in the privacy of my own home for free.

I go 5x a week -every weekday morning. The ‘secret’ is that you just have to treat it like something you do with no excuses- the way you do with work. If you wouldn’t turn off your alarm & sleep through work, don’t do that with the gym.
