My mom always encouraged me to believe in myself and never let anyone put me down. She was my biggest defender and my best friend.

That I was special and could do anything that I set my heart to do.

That's really sweet.What

I always wanted more one on one time with my mom when I was a really little girl. She had tons of responsibilities with her job and my brothers and the house, etc. My favorite memory is when she sat on the floor with me and played Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls with me once. My dad was at the store and she had a few spare minutes. I was so happy in that moment, I smiled at her the entire time. I was maybe four or five at the time, so happy she could spend time with me alone. Those moments are precious and rare to me.

I learned more from my mom, not from what she told me, but from things she did. I never want my daughter to miss the times we could have spent together.

As a result, I try to spend every moment with her doing fun things she wants, rather than being so wrapped up in the trivia of life.

My mom helped me develop great self confidence in my own abilities and she was my biggest supporter. I never check my plans with others as I know what I'm capable of doing.

My mom has taught me to respect everyone and to always follow the golden rule. Never treat anyone how you do not want to be treated.

My mom was a worry wart and for that reason, I can be that way too. It's what I got from her. But it's also the thing that makes us have so much in common. I think that I'm better at dealing with worry than she ever was. Possibly because I'm a little more hard shelled personality.

Take care of yourself! That's what my mom told me and that's what I tell everyone else.

If you are so busy caring for others that you neglect your own well being then you can't be of good service to your family. You will just be tired out all the time.

Don't give up on your dreams. This was the best lesson that I ever learned from my mother. And, I am still working on making that advice a reality.

"Don't let others influence you to do evil. You should influence others to do good."

My mom will always say 'live your life to its fullest, but do not forget to work hard in all you do'. Mom really instilled the spirit of hard work in me and that is what I won't forget in a hurry.

My mother gave us her children advice from time to time. But what I remember and consider the best is that be polite. And I had been practicing that advice of hers. You cannot go wrong with being polite because people tend to be polite with you as well. When you are rude, you can expect the retaliation. Especially to people older then me, I always have the attitude of politeness towards them even if sometimes some old people are rude to me. No use in arguing with them that’s why I just ignore their negative action.

Be yourself. You have all the necessary tools inside yourself to do what you want and need to do. This is a very important point to remember because it helps when you have to face problems. you just know that no matter what you are going to figure it out. Also the best advise she ever gave me is not to be intimidated by anyone. Everyone is human, and we are all equal, everybody should be treated with respect.

The best advice my mom told me was to never ever trust people unless that they have proven themselves. It's a valuable advice that helped me a lot over the years.
