Do you know where to draw the line

I like to think that I have good ethics and know where to draw the line when asked to do the wrong thing. However, I understand how everyone has a different version of 'right and wrong' and what's OK for others might not be OK for me. What are some things that influence your idea of right and wrong and do you know where to draw the line?

You can't always control how others react in a situation but you always have control of your own actions. Self control is the key to good ethics as it guides you in a positive direction.

I always try to follow the golden rule. I think would I want others to treat me that way? If not then I switch how I treat them to go with how I want to be treated.

I have my own moral compass that works for me, based on my own beliefs and experiences. And, what's right for me might not be fight for others. I'm very happy with this guide, as it helps me in life to always make the right decisions.

One common example is borrowing money. I used to be generous in that aspect of life that when a friend approaches me about money, I didn’t hesitate if I think that the problem was true. But as years passed, I realized that some friends were already abusing my generosity so I decided to stop lending money. Now my friends are fewer but they are the true friends who are not around just because they could borrow money from me.
