Do you ever use your host's affiliate program?

So do you ever promote your host's affiliate program to earn some extra cash? I have though the years tried many hosting companies for their hosting and now been with HostGator for over a year, but I have never bothered to try any of their referral / affiliate programs. I just got an email about it and that's what prompted this thread Do you ever use your host

I've been looking for some ways to generate extra income easily and promoting a host affiliate program might be a good idea. I will give my host affiliate program another look and see if there is any way to promote online. One of the main ways I promote is via signature links. However, one obstacle might be how many forums don't allow signature lines linking with an affiliate link. However, there could be some work arounds to that.

Well I guess the best way to promote the host's affiliate links will be to build a website with the links on it and then promote that. Do you ever use your host If HostGator had an affiliate program that worked in the same way the Seocheckout one works, then I would be more than happy to use it. Do you ever use your host But it doesn't. Do you ever use your host Do you ever use your host

You could design a hosting review blog where you compare one host company's products/services with another. You would have affiliate links to all the sites being reviewed as that would mean more money.

The Hostgator Affiliate Program sucks and there are tons of complaints all over the net from affiliates who got screwed over by them. They'll find any excuse possible NOT to pay you, and it's even worse now that they've added a 90 day limit AND a $150 minimum to get paid.

I've had several sales over the years I was with them and only got paid for 2, and that was before the days it was even more difficult to get paid. I've since abandoned their crappy program and removed all their links from my sites, as it's just wasted space that can be better used on a program that is fair and actually does pay its affiliates.

My host offers 10$ as compensation for referring to other people. And that can be a good option. Considering I am happy customer. Though I have not much promoted the site. And I think I need to find out ways to promote them. I mean they do work hard and have good customer base. Not just for 10$ I think hawkhost deserves to be promoted. But I don't have blog right now for that.
