When you sign up for a Google account, you are allowed to have a Youtube account too. The accounts are tied together, when you sign in.
But, now that Google requires verification for a new Google account, won't it be less likely that mass Youtube accounts will be created? Many of these fake Youtube accounts were used for blackhat purposes, such as subscribing to channels and liking videos for paid clients. Do you think this is one of the reasons that Google is now requirign verification to cut down on the misuse of their services for blackhat reasons?
