Facebook is a really cool site and a lot of people depend on it for staying up with friends and family who don't live nearby. Also, it's fun for the games. I like my Facebook group, that's the reason I keep going back everyday.

Sorry, but have you heard yourself? You need to get off Facebook and get a life!

You could say the same thing to the billion or so other people using the site avidly. Facebook can be very addictive and for that reason, people just need to manage it as a distraction and not allow it to come in between real life stuff like family and job. No need to be on Facebook 24/7 as it's just a distraction from life, but certainly a fun one.

I never play games on FB, but I do like to see what others are up to . I rely on FB to keep me connected to the ones that I want to stay connected with.

This reminds me of my friends who are working in Hongkong. There were 3 of them who are continually on Facebook during their waking hours. They sneak to peek on their Facebook account during work. And when I asked them if they can live without Facebook, they were unanimous in their reply that Facebook is their life. Of course they will survive but what a boring life. That clearly shows the benefit of Facebook to humankind which may be the main reason why it is the number 1 social media platform.

I am a regular Facebook user for about 5 years and have been a member since it's early days. I manage 2 groups, and 2 pages as well as an online store and a news media site, and all of these are on Facebook. I'm always online and constantly updating the contents of each site and I'm doing it all by myself. I think I'm spending 5 hours a day on postings and updates alone. I think it's the best social media then and it's the best now.
