I purchased this software which scrapes UIDs from Facebook groups. I intended on getting a lot of targeted users and creating a custom audience with them. I thought they would convert extremely well.
So I scraped a lot of UIDs and then in the audience section of the Facebook Ads manager, I uploaded the file as a .txt file. 1 UID per line.
It complete successfully but gives me this odd error (this is a small test with 10 UIDs but contains 11 errors):
I'm then returned to the audience section and it says ready but only has 20 people (even though this test only has 10 UIDs).
What does that mean? Why does it show 11 errors for only 10 UIDs?

It should take you into a "waiting" status instead of a "ready" status. Using UIDs to create a custom audience from the normal ad manager seems to be broken (at least for me). Using the power editor to create it instead fixed the issue. Use the power editor with Chrome instead of the normal Facebook ad manager to create custom audiences. You'll see a progress of the UIDs found (which should match) and then you should see a message like this: [quote]Your audience has been uploaded. It may take up to 1 hour for it to be available for targeting. Click on "Check Updates" to refresh the status of your audience.[/quote] It should take you into a "waiting" status instead of a "ready" status.
