Should I use bold on my page keyword?

Is it good to use bold or underline on page keywords? Does Google recognize this special word formatting? Such as would bold formatting on a word make it more important?

Google will take notice of anything you do on your page, even special word formatting such as bold, underline or italics. However, don't go overboard with special formatting. You only need to format a word in bold once in order for it to be noticed.

You could just as easily include your keyword with H1 tag if you wanted Google to take notice of it. The keyword does not have to be bolded. If that keyword is important to the page, then Google will see it in context of everything you are saying and assign importance accordingly.

You should look at this situation from the website visitor's point of view. Will it seem odd that so many of your words are in bold print? If not, then do what you want.

Its better if you bold your keyword so that google bots or crawler will definitely know what type of keyword you are promoting.

Bold format can be used for the main keyword in the on page to get noticed by Google.
