Another thing, don't just focus on anchor tags for backlinks. Brand your link/site name on off site locations by talking about your site along with a good description of your site or services (using keywords but not necessarily anchor text). Then link back with a plain link to your homepage or a page on your site. Google will see this as an endorsement; it's called co-citation.

Anything on your site...........it could be an article, a blog, or entire website content (home, about us, etc)......by quality I mean the content should be 100% original, keyword optimized (2 - 3% keyword density), and delivers value so that the reader is engaged.

Don't use spun articles as Google can easily tell these have been stolen and may punish you. Instead, pay somebody to write the content for you or find a guest blogger. If buying backlinks always check the quality of the websites because Google also penalizes bad backlinks, which do more harm than good. Remember; 50 quality backlinks are much better than 500 low quality/fake backlinks. Also, be sure to submit your site to search engines and website directories, it's also a good idea to share it on any social sites, blogs or forums you may be part of.

What do you mean by Quality Content? You mean content on your site or page you are ranking?

It goes on both your site and the site you want to link to. Linking from sites with less quality can't give help on your site. Better spend your time linking on a quality site.

Instead of spinning it, why not just get some ideas from that post that you can write your own. And write that article using your own words based on how you understood that post.

Wouldn't that be cool? That will save you some money in hiring article writers.

I have read in a couple of discussions that backlinks you leave in EDU and GOV sites are the most potent. They are considered high quality. But I also think that the backlinks you place in some other popular websites are also of high quality. Like the comment that you leave in a trending blog, that will constitute a high quality backlink because of the multitude of readers of that popular blog that can see your comment.
