Spanish publishers want Google News to come back. Google news was shut down in Spain because a law states that article results must be paid for. Now Spanish Newspapers publishers are asking that google come back. They would like the government to allow Google news to come back as it is dominant and taking it away will merely have a negative impact on not only the businesses in Spain, but the public as well.
What do you think about this? The publishers want the visitors to come to the sites but yet at the same time, the publishers also do not like all the terms and conditions that google news has set forth. Can they really have it both ways? Do you feel that they are willing to negotiate to get the Google news back and have the terms set forth as they see fit? I highly doubt that google news will budge from what they want to offer. Do you think that anything can be resolved in this matter?
