If Google went out of business

In the unlikely event that Google went out of business, would you most likely convert to being a full time Bing search engine user?

Google will never go out of business.

Then again everyone said that about Myspace how it would always be around.

Now where is Myspace? And, everyone has jumped ship to Facebook.

@Oleanna, Myspace is still around though it seems to focus on music and musicians.

@Yves, you asked a terrific question, and it's one that many pose in response to Google's constant changes. I'm sure Bing or Yahoo would become the next target of both searchers and search marketers, though I suspect many marketers would return to pre-Google marketing strategies.

I seriously doubt that google can go out of business BUT if that case becomes true, I would definitely use bing, I would never, ever, use Yahoo!.

If you wake up to a news that google is out of business, make sure to check if there is still something called internet. I am sure there won't be. It wouldn't be google out of business, It would be maybe the world has transitioned to a different technology and I am damn sure google would be the one to still lead the market. Think of maybe we would be using robots to surf the web, whereby they automatically get what you want and thus display it on your tv screen at home.

I don't think that Google will ever go out of business. The market share of google keeps on increasing. For the sake of answering the question if this was to happen I will have no option than to use Bing. Bing is definitely better than the other search engines. Moreover we also have the Bing Rewards now. This is something which may motivate me to use Bing.

I don't think google going out of business is going to be a chance. There are many people who are working on the projects. And it seems like there are some going to be working on lot of projects. In fact google is buying many companies in nearest years. So that's something we have to look forward to as well. So it all depends on how that works out.

Certainly why not, that was the whole essence of having options and varieties. if one doesn't work any longer then no other way out to switch over to what is working, I do use Bing sometimes so It, not a bad search engine.

To be honest in that scenario that Google will shut down I think I will opt for several search engines as a way of testing my convenience. Before the arrival of Google, I was using 3 search engines and one was Ask dot com which gave me a more relevant list of links that’s why it was my regular search engine. If Google will be gone then I would probably be using Yahoo, Bing and Ask to feel which would be best for me.
