Should your ads relate to your site's niche?

Should you sell ad space to site owners who are not in your own niche? For instance, if you have a webmaster site or forum would you sell ad space to an accountant? That's just one example.

Yes! I mean whenever you register for a online publishing site, they do take care of this automatically. But if you doing it manually then you have to be careful, while choosing sponsors Should your ads relate to your site

Obviously, if you can hand pick your sponsors, then you will want to ensure their ads relate to your site. But, sometimes Google Adsense will show ads similar to the sites your readers have just visited. If you want the Adsense ads to relate to your site's content, then you will have to specify that in your Adsense panel.

I think that they should relate to your site somewhat. It makes sense to me to do this.

It would be good if the ads are relevant ads on your site, this way you can attract more advertisers.

Do you really have to do something explicitly on my adsense panel? I mean I always thought google adsense to be intelligent to show only related ads without any settings.

It is imperative that the ads in your website should coincide with your niche or theme. Although you have no control if your site is running with Adsense, I have noticed that Adsense is already doing that – the ads are relevant to the niche. My blog is about pets and most of the ads there are related to pets.

It is better that way to me than having irrelevant ads.It doesn't make sense to have a banner about accounting on a fashion blog.I assume that people visiting that blog are mostly fashion buffs so that ads banner stated accounting would be useless to them and they do not even look at it twice, let alone click on it.So only related ads to a niche should be displayed.
