Would you make a video to advertise your site?

And, then distribute to video sites? Do you think this would be good advertising for your blog or forum?

I have created and edited lot of videos and then upload it to my youtube account. It does help the advertising and drive traffic in away and the best part about this is that it stays there forever. I'm just not good in making a video popular. I have even compiled images and edited it to make a video just to advertise in youtube.

If you can make it viral then it must be worth. do you know how to make your video as featured in youtube?

Making a video popular is the dream of every video maker. The thing called viral video just like the first music video of Justine Bieber was phenomenal. If we can learn the secret of making a video popular then we can probably stop our freelancing activities and just concentrate on the video productions in Youtube. However the viral video remains a dream because you need luck for that.

I would make a video to advertise my video because of a few reasons. Youtube videos can get thousands upon thousands of views and sometimes even millions. If you could get your a video about your site to get a lot of visits to your site. Sure you wont get 1 to 1 vistor rate but I think its safe to say you could get 2 to 1. So every 2 visits you will get one visit.

It's really cool especially if you can make an interesting video.
Just don't use copyrighted materials or your file might end up getting deleted on these sites.

Even though I have not done this yet, promoting your site through a video is a great idea. Create a video, upload on facebook or youtube. People who watch the videos might be interested in your site. It is easier to get to the mass through video marketing because watching is believing. In the online world, people have less attention span, they don't have time to read 500 words, however, they will watch 30 seconds video.

I'm not good at making videos, but I think that it is a great way of advertising. I mean people always fall in love with what they see than what they read which is the reason making videos to advertise will work.

I have yet to make my own blog. And if that materializes, perhaps I will make a 30-second video to promote my blog. A video is a powerful tool especially if you are good at it, I mean not just in editing the video but in concocting the concept. Making a video is like making a tv advertisement that you need a push for what you are promoting. And as I have been observing, the video is getting popular in the social media.
